Yes, the bed was comfortable and the location can’t be beat. That’s where the positives end.
The pillows were awful, the kitchen was stocked with the bare minimum, and there wasn’t even a welcome book with basics like how to use the metro or where to eat. But the real issue is safety — and the fact that management simply does not care.
The shower hose blasted water everywhere the first time we used it, soaking the bathroom. The floors outside are already warped and splintering from obvious water damage. My wife slipped badly trying to get into the steep tub, cut her elbow, and bruised her back and shoulder. It could easily have been a broken bone or head injury.
I immediately asked for a simple $5 non-slip mat. Management flat-out refused, hiding behind excuses about “hygiene” instead of addressing a clear hazard. Even after an actual injury, they wouldn’t act. Add in a deadbolt that doesn’t work and warped floors waiting to cause splinters or trips, and you’ve got a place that screams “we don’t care.”
To make matters worse, they lied to Expedia about “working with me” when I had ended communication. Of course, we never got the mat.
Bottom line: Unsafe, poorly maintained, and run by people who ignore real injuries and hazards. Would not recommend at all.
