A Great View in Town

This apartment is truly in the perfect location – slightly away from the hubbub of the historical centre, but close enough to walk there and to the famous avenida da Liberdade as well as Restauradores and Rossio squares. On your way back you can enjoy the oldest lift in Lisbon (1884), the "elevador da Lavra". Perfect for a quiet break while sightseeing.
Located on a high floor of a building with a lift, it has a fantastic view of the whole town, out to the Tagus River and Sao Jorge Castle. The neighbourhood is composed by a beautiful public garden with bars and restaurants around and is very well served by public transports to many places in town.
The apartment is classically elegant and very comfortable. You will feel immediately at home here, with its tasteful décor creating a warm and welcoming athmosphere. The living room is filled with light, with large windows and a wraparound balcony where you can enjoy the view. The kitchen is very modern and impeccably equipped.

Our family of 5 (including three teen/young adult kids) had a wonderful stay. Marcos and Maria’s apartment was absolutely beautiful. We had a gorgeous view of Alfama, the castle and the river from nearly every window in the apartment. The apartment is perfect! You arrive into an elegant lobby with an old world charm. Taking the elevator up you enter to a light, bright, and beautifully furnished, comfortable, and impeccably clean apartment. And being on the fourth floor, the rooms have wonderful views of Alfama down to the river and back to Ave Liberdad. Amazing light. The bathrooms and kitchen are all finished in slab stone, with new fixtures and appliances. The kitchen is large and can serve as a great place to cook a feast. In fact during our stay the host arranged for us a chef, Francisco Cunha who came and prepared us a dinner party for 10! The meal (which incorporated a contemporary interpretation of some wonderful traditional Portuguese dishes) was extraordinary. Like the apartment, the experience was delicious! We will be back soon with our friends! Thank you for a great stay!

Marco and his wife are wonderful hosts. I do not believe that there is a better view of the castle and the bay than from their 5th floor apartment. Opposite the apartment is a nice park. It is surrounded by great restaurants, the area is quite nice. There is a breakfast place across the street that serves yummy breakfasts. The location is great. The apartment is clean and spacious, we would stay there again.

We could not have chosen a better place to stay! Best view of Lisbon especially from the balcony. We will miss our favorite coffee/breakfast shop, mini market and restaurant right across the street!
