This is a very comfortable hotel. We stayed a second time as a couple, to use as a base to visit WW2 sites. Ideal. The staff are very welcoming. Great breakfast available, evening meal if requested. Friendly, comfortable, welcoming and so convenient for the Caen ferry. Recommended. Lion sur Mer is a nice little town with a fabulous beach close to a huge range of D-Day places of interest. Great fir an overnight stop or two.

A gem of a hotel, clean, comfortable, warm, good breakfast and dinner, easy for parking, right in the town centre, 3 minutes walk from the beach. Friendly, welcoming owners and pleasant staff, very reasonably priced. I look forward to staying longer on a future visit. This is a good base for the D-Day trail, a seaside break, Caen and Bayeux (tapestry). Good choice of restaurants outwith the hotel too.
