Near the authentic fishing village of Paesens-Moddergat and a stone's throw from the Lauwersmeer National Park and close to the boat to Schiermonnikoog. Enjoy mudflat walking, if you want, by the moonlight. A nighttime walk with the ranger in the Dark Sky Park Lauwersmeer where you can see the Milky Way on clear days. Art in better museums in Leeuwarden and Groningen and exhibitions in special galleries, in cultural churches and in the open air. Theater in beautiful halls and in neighborhood cafes.
