Short get a way or long stay for bike travelers

Nice stay at this Best Western, only experience before in USA, but this one is just as good and meets expections.. good starting point for bike trips , close enough to the charming Altstad of Lindau

Large well appointed room with comfortable bed and ideal for family. Although restaurant on site a very nice bakery right next door. The lake a short 10-15 minute walk as is the Austrian border.

Lindau stopover

Nice travel hotel, a little remote but it is not a problem if you have a car, about 5 minutes drive to Isel Lindau. Rooms are new and clean. Good breakfast, much more than you may expect from 3 stars establishment. Overall good value and pleasant sort stay.

No frills hotel with nice breakfast

Friendly staff. Clean and updated rooms. AC was nice. Wifi was spotty, it worked best on the main level. Nice breakfest with a large selection of foods. One downside is the lack of decaf coffee, but we understand that is not the norm for Europe. Parking was free and easy to find a spot.

A standard hotel

This Best Western hotel is not a “plus”hotel but a new fine standard hotel located in a industrial area. Good for an overnight stay but not for a cosy vacation. The air on did not work.

Unfriendly staffs, staff intruded into our room even with a privacy sign hanging on the door! No phone in the room, no amenities that we like, no pool, no spa, no hot tub, no sauna, no steam room, no Jacuzzi, breakfast was less than satisfactory. We will never stay at this home again, will not recommend it, price is high for having nothing enjoyable, look for something else, this BW is not it!

So close to great, but issues meant it wasn’t

The hotel looked great and the start was amazing with very friendly staff! The room was clean and large. Then the issues started, 1. The AC recycled air from toilets resulting in a foul smell in the room 2. They had worn out sheets in one of the beds that felt really scratchy Given how nice the people were in the reception I’m am sure they would have found a solution if we had the energy to mention it, but arriving tired we did ent have the energy, so we turned the AC off and fell asleep.

Parking was horrendous, the lot was full by the time I arrived in early evening. I was instructed to a nearby lot of a building supply store. The area was not well lit and in same lot of late night/shady casino. I had to walk back in the dark approx 2 city blocks (totally unsafe). I was uncomfortable with parking my rental at this remote site so I returned and found parking elsewhere. I was very tired after this ordeal.

The property was close to shopping and Lindau island. Great breakfast. The day staff was cold and almost rude. The pm staff was good. The air conditioning was a joke. We wanted to open our windows, but there were huge spiders and spider web in the window opening. Our first room lite switch sparked when we used it and smelt hot. Our second room the chair was broken and my husband almost fell to the floor. Our complaints were always met with, "I have to tell my colleague." Not sure I would stay here again.

The name of this facility has "Marina" in the name. Totally misleading and nowhere close to any marina. I had booked 2 hotel rooms (1 for my wife and I) and the other for 3 adult children. When I arrived, I asked about the accomodations for the 2nd room and was told it only had 2 twin beds. I asked if they could put a cot in the room or change room to one with a sleep sofa. The desk receptionist said she could not change the reservation because it was booked through Expedia. I found this strange and not very helpful. We paid for an extra room only to find out that once I got to my room (it had a sleep sofa). We were very tired from our travel and I did not dispute any further. Overall, the hotel is new and clean, but it is NOT a Marina hotel (parking is horrible) and not in a very nice part of town. Couple that with the staff unwilling to help on the reservatio makes our experience unpleasant. Do NOT recommend.
