This is a great place If all you need is a great ocean view, a place to sleep and be able to prepare meals. Sadly, we needed to be able to walk our dog in a grassy area and that ended up being up stairs & across the street. It was dark by 4:30pm so that meant 2 trips in dark, raining weather each day. It said ground floor cabin but you need to be able to navigate stairs down to it. I have a bad hip so it was a struggle. It has 2 large windows to watch the ocean & the public access to the beach is right beside the hotel. The bed is comfortable and so is the couch. I recommend it if you can do stairs & don't have a dog.

The place is okay, the rooms have great views of the ocean and easy access. The rooms are ok, the beds are hard and the comforter doesn’t really fit the king size bed. But all in all it was ok.

The electrical unit looked iffy in the room. The bed felt like it was about to snap. Definitely need better beds and bedding. The bedding is so thin. Towels are so tiny for going out to the hot tub. Poor lighting in the room. Thank god we had a flashlight! No light out back, with a step that is two different sizes. So dangerous . Better chairs to sit in that does rock. The shower head is so low you have to duck and the toilet is so low to the ground too. The staff was lovely and the hot tub was surprisingly nice, but those rooms need a make over badly.

This facility deserves a five star rating because of the value it provides. Go there realizing it is an older motel....with one of the best locations on the Oregon coast. Every room has an ocean view of one of the few beaches that allows you to drive down onto the beach. The access road abuts the property. Some of the rooms, such as #331, have just been completely remodeled. Several have patio hot tubs. There is a rock formation with tidal pools accessible depending on tides. Remember, the ocean is always dangerous. #331 had full kitchen and bath/shower combo. Two queen beds. We rebooked it for two nights in December for less than $300 total, all fees included. Within blocks of D River. 10 minutes to Chinook Winds Casino.

Parking is good and the room was perfect just the tv doesn’t work and the bathtub doesn’t have the stopper to fill the water on the tub. Great customer service and friendly. Thank you for kindness.

The room was absolutely disgusting. Dirt, dust, stains everywhere. There were stains on our blanket and the replacement had burn holes. The fire alarm kept randomly going off. Blood stains in the bathroom. We couldn’t believe what we were seeing.
