This is a true five-star hotel with rich character, elegant design, and outstanding service that fully lives up to its rating. The historic charm and professional staff made our stay feel luxurious and memorable. However, one major issue affected our experience. Many of the rooms at the back of the hotel face a large open-air sports complex, which operates from around 8 AM until 11 PM daily. The constant noise—kids yelling, coaches shouting, and loud music—can be overwhelming, especially when it’s happening just 20 feet from your window or patio. Waking up to that in a luxury hotel really takes away from the serenity and privacy you expect at this level. While rooms overlooking the golf course may offer a more peaceful stay, nearly half the rooms face the opposite direction and are directly exposed to the noise. This is something guests should know in advance when booking. We would love to return to this beautiful hotel, but only if we could guarantee a room on the quieter side. The location and quality are otherwise fantastic, but for us, the constant disruption was a deal-breaker.

Hotel was beautiful, staff friendly and extremely accommodating. My only complaint is do not get a Legacy garden suite if you want quiet. Our room baked up against a private club. The noise ie; music, kids running and playing in pool etc…was extreme. We could not enjoy the garden at all. It was beautiful but loud.
