The Marina Azzurra Resort is located in the municipality of Lignano Sabbiadoro, on the left bank of the Tagliamento River, about 2 km from its mouth, which marks the natural border between Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Veneto. It is a unique oasis of tranquility spanning a green area of 120.000 m², just a few steps from the Punta Verde Wildlife Park in Lignano Riviera and 2.5 km from the beach and the centers of Lignano Sabbiadoro and Bibione. This exclusive vacation complex, consisting of houseboats, is inspired by Dutch and Canadian floating villages. Inside the resort, you’ll find a large green space featuring a multipurpose field with synthetic turf: ideal for five-a-side soccer, tennis, volleyball, basketball, bocce, and table tennis. To the delight of the little ones, there’s a shaded playground with a sand surface and fun themed play structures. Also worth highlighting is the spacious pool area with separate pools for children and adults, as well as a wellness area featuring water loungers, a hot tub, and neck-massage jets. The spacious sun terrace is equipped with lounge chairs and umbrellas. A kiosk with a snack bar and a mini-supermarket cater to your culinary needs. A public barbecue area is available. You can rent electric boats, canoes, and bicycles directly at the resort. The resort also features a communal washing machine, a dryer, and an iron in a separate room in the public area.
The 65-square-meter, two-story Houseboat Garden accommodates up to 6 people and is located in the heart of the greenery, in the resort’s garden. The accommodation features one bedroom with a double bed and a second bedroom with two single beds. If needed, the double sofa bed in the living area provides two additional sleeping spots. The well-equipped kitchenette is located in the living area on the upper deck of the boat and is equipped with a glass-ceramic cooktop, dishes, silverware, pots, an Italian capsule coffee machine, a kettle, a microwave, and a refrigerator with a freezer compartment. The bathroom features a sink, a toilet, a shower, and a hair dryer. The spacious terrace on the upper deck offers a stunning view of the river and is furnished with a table, chairs, a parasol, and two lounge chairs. Barbecuing is permitted at the communal barbecue areas. The drive from the Italian border takes approximately 4 hours. Note: If you need more than one accommodation, this is usually possible with us, as we have several properties of the same style.
ARRIVAL DATE + LENGTH OF STAY
Please refer to the calendar for the arrival and departure dates as well as the minimum length of stay for your desired season. Note: If, for any reason, you are unable to arrive on the scheduled arrival date, you may, of course, check in the following day (please notify us before arrival). The same applies if you wish to depart early; in this case, you may also check out the day before. However, the rental period and price specified at the time of booking remain unchanged.
POOL
The resort features a spacious pool area with separate pools for children and adults, as well as a wellness area with water loungers, a hot tub, and neck massage jets. The spacious sun deck is equipped with lounge chairs and umbrellas.
BEACH
When you book your vacation at the Marina Azzurra Resort, you can relax on the golden beach of Lignano thanks to the beach service. You and your travel companions will have access to one beach umbrella and two lounge chairs on Lignano Riviera Beach for the duration of your stay; your beach spot will be assigned to you at the front desk. Lignano Riviera Beach is 2.5 km from the Marina Azzurra Resort. Guests can reach the beach by bike via a bike path surrounded by greenery, or by car. Bicycles can be rented directly at the resort through the city bike and e-bike rental service.
FAMILY-FRIENDLY
The resort is very family-friendly. For younger guests, there is a children’s pool as well as a lovely, shaded playground. The resort is car-free, allowing children to move around the grounds safely.
LEISURE AND SPORTS
Inside the resort, you’ll find a large green space with a multifunctional field featuring synthetic turf: Ideal for five-a-side soccer, tennis, volleyball, basketball, bocce, and table tennis. In addition to the spacious pool area, you can rent bicycles, canoes, and electric boats right on the premises. Many sports activities and tournaments are also offered on the beach.

The resort features a mini-supermarket where you can find everyday items. You’ll also find additional shopping options in the immediate vicinity.
MEALS
The accommodation features a well-equipped kitchen with a glass-ceramic cooktop, dishes, cutlery, pots, an Italian capsule coffee machine, a kettle, a microwave, and a refrigerator with a freezer compartment. If you’d like to treat yourself to a culinary experience, you can take advantage of a delivery service. Breakfast and dinner will be conveniently delivered to your accommodations.
PETS
Pets are welcome at the Marina Azzurra Resort. You must register your pet upon arrival. Please bring your pet’s health record with proof of vaccinations. Dogs are not allowed in the swimming pool and solarium areas, nor in the dining room on the River Boat. In Lignano Riviera, right at the mouth of the Tagliamento River, you’ll find “Spiaggia di Duke,” a well-equipped stretch of beach where four-legged friends are also welcome. The umbrellas are spaced farther apart, the sand is kept clean at all times, and dog beds, food bowls, leashes, showers, and dog waste bags are available. Dogs can swim in the sea here and have fun in the agility area.

For those who prefer something more exciting, we recommend the Aquasplash theme park in Lignano Sabbiadoro or Gulliverlandia in San Giuliano. For younger children, the 3,000 m² Rio Blu playground in Bibione is also a great option. Here you’ll find go-kart tracks, bounce houses, a swimming pool with boats, and much more. You’ll find restaurants, bars, and nightclubs on every corner in Bibione. Food lovers are in for a treat here! Numerous churches, palaces, and castles are located around Bibione, just waiting to be discovered. You can explore them on your own or take a guided tour. Valgrande, the lagoon hidden behind Bibione, is a must-see for nature lovers! The animals, plants, and waters will enchant you with their absolute and unspoiled beauty!
