We booked and paid for the property in Dec. 2024. April 24th, the night before we were checking in, I received an email saying we owed for another night of stay and it was 500.00 more a night than we paid. I informed them that we did not make any changes to our reservation, and I then received a text from the house owner that they double booked us after we paid and reserved the house. The new guest was paying a much higher rate and wanted it 3 nights vs our 2 nights. The owner said sorry there is nothing they could do and that we would need to call VRBO to get this resolved. VRBO did pay us back for our stay but, left us scrambling to find 5 hotel rooms or another house during a very busy weekend in KY.
