We wanted just a place to get away from the Northern weather and see our youngest do some rock climbing. Richmond was a great place for us. But we had car trouble and had to extend our stay. The motel staff was so supportive, it blew our minds and in fact made us want to go back to Richmond.

If you stay in room 311, the toilet backs up, the toilet paper holder is falling out of the wall, and there is a blue bucket under the sink. Staff always know which rooms have issues; prayerfully, this is the only room with issues but I doubt it. We were traveling from Atlanta for a funeral in Richmond; not a pleasant distraction from my grief.

We liked size of the room, the fact that it had carpet & that here was a couch for our small dog. The carpet was a plus for her if she decided to jump off the bed. We discouraged that by bringing the l hassock close to the bed. The refrigerator was a negative because it wouldn’t close tight. The bathtub was slippery
