Escape to the East Sussex countryside in this unique converted barn, where original oak beams, high ceilings and a spiral staircase blend with modern comforts. It’s a lovely choice for families, couples, friends or business stays, with easy access to Lewes and Brighton.

The property has a double bed and two single beds, plus a private terrace and patio, high-speed WiFi and one dedicated parking space next to the property.

This unique character converted barn, with original wooden oak beams, a working log burning stove, feature spiral staircase, and a lovely open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge.
Perfect for a family of four, couples, friends, or business acquaintances.

There is a dedicated parking space for one car only, directly next to The Hayloft.
Upon entering our barn conversion, you'll be greeted by the character of the past; high ceilings into the apex of the roof and original character features. The space is a harmonious blend of old-world charm and contemporary design, offering stylish interior with a cozy and inviting atmosphere.

Bedrooms:

Master Bedroom: A serene retreat featuring a comfortable double bed, large windows that flood the room with natural light, and ample storage space.

Second Bedroom: Ideal for friends or family, this mezzanine room offers two single beds with a warm welcoming ambiance.

The second room has a beautiful spiral staircase leading to the twin beds above the main bedroom

Open Plan Living Area:
The living room is a haven for relaxation, furnished with comfy seating, a flat-screen TV, and a feature wood burning stove. It's the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring East Sussex.

Open Plan Kitchen & Dining Area:
The fully equipped kitchen comes with all the modern amenities you need to prepare a delicious meal or a quick snack. A dining area provides a comfortable space for meals, with seating for four.

Bathroom:
The cottage charm extends through the apartment right through to the bathroom.

Terrace:
Guests have access to a private patio area onto terrace which is accessed through the back door of the property.

Utility Area:
There is a small utility area outside the property with a washing machine . Please access through the black door.

Guests have access to the whole cottage, the terrace area and patio as well as access to the utility area.

Other things to note:
The main house is in the grounds, opposite the property

There is wheelchair access but a shower over bath in the bathroom


Check-in time is after 3pm and check-out time is before 11am.
A £30 charge will be requested if guests check themselves in early without permission or if guests do not check out on time as this will cause disruption to my cleaner’s schedule

We provide complimentary tea and coffee, as well as shampoo, shower gel and soap. Other items provided during your stay are a washing-up pack, toilet roll and kitchen roll. These should last a couple of days. If more is needed, there are shops close by.

PARKING: There is only one parking space allocated to this property.
Due to the rural location please do not turn up with more than one car. If that is the case you will be asked to find alternative parking and, unfortunately, due to the rural location we cannot recommend alternative parking.

The property is gated, and the access to the cottage is through the gate where the road meets the driveway. There is enough space to pull into the driveway, get out of the car, and open the gate if it isn't already open. Please drive through to park the car next to the cottage in the parking space provided and close the gate behind you.

Check-in is available after 4pm and check-out is before 10am. Please do not check in early or check out late without prior permission, as this can disrupt our cleaner’s schedule and may result in a £30 charge.

A travel cot and high chair are available on request, subject to availability. The travel cot costs £15 and the high chair costs £10. Please pay for these at the time of booking, with payment received at least 24 hours before check-in. The travel cot includes a thick, breathable, anti-allergenic mattress suitable for Red Kite Travel Cots and Graco models (93 x 64 x 6 cm), although guests should bring their own cot bedding as linen is not provided. If you use the high chair, please return it clean at the end of your stay.

PARKING: There is only one parking space allocated to this property. Please do not turn up with more than one car. Should that be the case you will be asked to find alternative parking. Due to the rural location we cannot recommend alternative parking.

The washing machine is in the utility area outside however, the cupboard is for Staff Only.

Log Burning Stove:
We can provide a basket of kindling, logs, firelighters and matches available on request for an additional £20.
Please reach out at the time of booking so that we can make arrangements in advance ad take the payment prior to your stay to avoid disappointment.

+Check that the fridge has been cleared of all food
+ Please let us know if anything has been damaged during your stay. If something needs to be fixed or replaced, we’ll let you know if it will be taken from your security deposit

Offering a hotel-like experience, Pass the Keys has an industry-leading high cleaning standard. All properties benefit from having hotel-grade linens and all the home comforts you probably expect (like shampoo, soap, hair dryer, iron etc.).
If you do need some assistance before or during your stay, the property manager is local to the property and the guest support team is available 24/7. We look forward to welcoming you!
IMPORTANT: On behalf of our host at Pass the Keys, we require guest verification facilitated by Truvi (Previously called Superhog). Upon confirming your booking, Truvi will contact the lead booker via a secure link, providing detailed instructions for the verification process.

The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.

Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.
