Lovely double room at the front of the hotel, had evening food in the restaurant which was lovely, generous portions ! And staff very helpful. We were so pleasantly surprised as we’re staying for a wedding locally rather than drive home. Great value

We have stayed at this hotel before and returned because we enjoyed it and it was just as good this time. The restaurant/bar area is attractive and modern with character and style. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is great quality. The rooms could do with a renovation however, to bring them up to the same feel as the rest of the hotel as they are slightly dated.

This was an older hotel, but we knew that when we booked it. The room was a bit small compared to American standards. Bed was comfortable and shower pressure was good. The food in the restaurant was very good. We ate dinner there our first night and we were pleased with the menu and quality of the food served. Breakfast the first morning was a weekday and the selection was very nice and food was good. Day 2 & 3 were on the weekend and was a bit more basic but still good. We would recommend this hotel and the restaurant as well.

The building had lots of character, but it was a little bit dated! The room we had was clean and comfortable but rather hot. We opened the windows and took the duvet out of its cover in order to get to sleep. The breakfast was excellent.
