"Avoriaz 1800 is an impressive place to approach: it first appears in the distance when you drive through Morzine, and then ducks and dives as you wind your way up and up until you get there. The car-free nature of the village gives it a relaxed vibe, and after unloading our luggage into a cart, we walked the short distance to reception to check-in. The check-in process was easy and expedited by the excellent Reception staff. Our apartment was in the Malinka building, and although it was on the 10th floor, getting up to it was never a problem as the three large lifts serving Malinka were fast and never busy. The apartment itself was superb: clean and comfortable and focussed on the unbelievable view from the balcony. Having two bathrooms was an unexpected bonus. Kitchen was very well equipped. Bedding was immaculate and the beds were super-comfy. Amenities near Malinka couldn't be better. A bakery 50m from the entrance, and a small supermarket too. Everywhere in Avoriaz is walking distance. Avoriaz 1800 is a place worth visiting -- ideal in summer for walkers and mountain bikers -- and there could not have been a better place for us to stay than the Malinka building of Résidence Pierre & Vacances Avoriaz Saskia Falaise."
