Lovely setting and grand building but wont return

Having to iron your shirt in the restaurant is simply wrong! Maybe it is the hotels idea for evening entertainment for diners. They refused to allow me to do it in my room. Reception is not open until 9am on somedays. The room was nice, apart from the hundreds of flying insects around the bathroom light and on the window ledge. Fair play to the cleaning team, they did sort this when I was able to make the hotel aware but this was in the morning after a night of having to sleep fully under the covers to avoid being bitten as the hotel was closed and unmanned when I arrived

In the middle of the Loire, you can wander out into the “beach” or take a walk at low tide. A pleasant spot outside of Angers.

Lovely view

Stayed with our friends in Les 3 Lieux for two nights. The hotel manager was extremely helpful. There was a mess over the booking (not due to the hotel) and he helped put it right. The view from the hotel was stunning (on the river bank) - beware of very active mosquitos and use plenty of repellent. We ate there on the first night and the food was very good. Nothing much in the way of bars and restaurants nearby so we travelled into Angers by bus on the second day and had a lovely day there. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was lovely.
