Welcome to "Grandpa's Barn"!
This former barn has been completely restored and renovated for your modern comfort.

Its old-world charm and its Landes family history have been preserved as much as possible. This accommodation is a 3-star rated holiday rental, guaranteeing a sought-after level of quality. New for 2026: a separate 20 m² studio, built with the same authentic charm as the barn, completes the property, offering two additional beds and a private swimming pool with a terrace! The property is fenced on three sides, and the fourth side overlooks the forest. You will enjoy a large 1500 m² garden.

The main house (known as "Grandpa's Barn"!) is decorated in a vintage style, except for the kitchen and shower room, where all the appliances are new and high-quality. It is air-conditioned, sleeps 4 people (of any age, perfect for a couple and two children or four friends), and includes: - one bedroom with a double bed; - one bedroom with a bunk bed; - A large living room with a dining area. - Two private terraces, one at the front and the other at the back of the house; - Private swimming pool;

The independent studio, added in 2026, includes: - A large 20 m² room with a central storage unit that holds some delightful surprises! When folded, it provides a sofa in front of you, storage space, and a living room feel; when unfolded, it transforms into a 140 x 190 cm double bed with new, high-quality bedding, offering you your own bedroom; - A shower room + a separate toilet + a washbasin; The concept of this new space is loft-style, maximizing space and featuring new, high-quality fixtures and fittings. The partition wall is this magnificent wardrobe-bed unit; if you go behind it, you'll find yourself on the toilet and shower room side with a washbasin. Design, modernism, and spaciousness combined with the charm of wood and exposed beams typical of Landes houses! A private 4m x 2m swimming pool is complemented by a surrounding exotic wood deck. Please note: the front deck, despite the privacy hedges, can experience some noise from the main road in front of the house.
There is a second, completely peaceful terrace at the rear, surrounded by nature, with views of the nearby forest. Early in the morning, you might spot deer and sometimes wild boar, wood pigeons, robins, thrushes, and other birds.
During your stay, you will have access to: Wi-Fi, television, washing machine, iron, hairdryer, dishwasher, microwave, oven, coffee maker, etc. There is also a parasol, an outdoor table with sun loungers, and an electric griddle to fully enjoy the outdoor spaces.

Please note that there is a sliding wooden gate that opens and closes with a key, ensuring secure access to the property and the house: it's easy to safely park one or two cars through. We look forward to welcoming you!

## Emplacement
A tourist town in the Landes region of France, Léon is located 6 km from the ocean, 30 minutes from Bayonne and 50 minutes by car from Biarritz. The lake is ideal for canoeing, paddling and fishing. Lac de Léon is ideal for young children, with its sandy beach. Discover the nature reserve that stretches as far as Moliets by taking a boat trip on the Huchet stream, guided by the boatmen. The Rivière de la Palue, which flows into Lac de Léon, is also very popular for guided or unguided canoe-kayak trips, with a few small eddies and a guaranteed adrenalin rush for solo, couples, families or friends!

In summer, the Landes produce market is held every day in the village square, a 10-minute walk from the villa. Léon is a lively town, with shops open all year round, including a fishmonger, bakeries, butchers, a wine cellar, a cinema and a cultural center!

Even today, Léon is appreciated for its unspoilt landscape, its many leisure activities and its respect for Landes traditions, both in terms of sports and gastronomy. The nearest beach is only 6 kilometers away, and is the beautiful authentic beach of “la Lette Blanche”, but you also have the beaches of Moliets, at a similar distance, large and beautiful beaches of fine sand and dune zones, typical of the Landes.

The famous Vélodysée, the large cycle path that crosses France from Nantes to Hendaye, passes right by the house and allows you to enjoy beautiful rides through pine forests, without any difficulties: we can arrange to rent your bikes, which will be brought to your home, and returned on site before your departure with our local partners...
