Very nicely renovated converted motel with extremely comfortable beds and a nice bathroom with good products. The bar/restaurant area is a very cool space. Doesn’t seem like a lot of people hang out there extremely good value for a comfortable hotel room, but not sure I’d wanna hang out there for long length of time.

Warm reception

The public areas are delightful and I'm sorry we didn't have time to relax beside the fireplace or in the outdoor seating area which must have lovely views and be great on summer evenings. Up-to-date and cozy decor in the rooms was very pleasant, and we appreciated little amenities like the automatic night light in the bathroom. There were a couple of issues that the somewhat overwhelmed staff addressed well and very nicely. We did not have anything to eat or drink apart from early morning tea and coffee. We stayed just Tuesday night and left early to start a day retreat at Kripalu; judging by the number of room lights on at 6 a.m., I think many of the other guests were doing the same, and it was a good combination.

Room adequate for a night stay. Breakfast service was odd. A maintenance person gave us one napkin & silverware service for 2 people. Hard boiled eggs brought still in the shell w/no way to rinse off the shells once peeled.

The hotel and room look exactly like the photos. It’s maintained well and they have a great and friendly staff. It’s close to the small towns all around the county and a quick drive from The Mount. The downside is the noise. If you’re on the highway side, you can hear the trucks pass by. But most of it is muffled by the ever so loud detached AC unit. The only way I can describe it is like sleeping next to a freezer fridge that is constantly making ice. It’s a tad too loud to pass off as ambient sound, unfortunately. Other than that, it’s a great hotel for a cute weekend getaway in the Berkshires.

This is a very cute hotel/motel-style stay! The lobby is beautiful, smells divine, and I loved the refreshing lemon/mint water. The seasonal decorations with flowers and pumpkins were charming, and the outdoor sitting area was lovely. Parking was easy and plentiful. The room itself was adorable and well-equipped — everything I needed was there. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was huge. I also loved the Le Labo products they offered — such a nice touch! A few small things could be improved: the AC/heating unit was quite noisy, and the air in the room felt very dry. Even with the darkening shade, a fair amount of light still came through the window during the day. Housekeeping could also be a bit more thorough — I noticed some spider webs in the corners and a few hairs left in the shower. Overall, though, it was a lovely stay with great amenities and thoughtful details. I’d definitely consider coming

The photos make this place look like a country inn, but it's actually a re-imagined motel. For a motel, it is great, the rooms are re-done nicely and they are comfortable and quiet. For an upscale place to stay - it is a nice motel. They try, with a little library, and the bar and several table restaurant. We did not have dinner there - but breakfast and checkout was a mess. They don't have anything but coffee until 8:30, and there are no alternatives nearby. Think of airline food - the descriptions sound good, but then you get a disappointing meal that is obviously not freshly prepared, just heated up. For a motel, it is great.
