Great pub/hotel/bistro in a beautiful peaceful village. Staff were extremely helpful. We had a wedding with so needed an early check-in and late return. Both were accommodated for. Room was clean, fresh. Continental breakfast was included in price. We also paid extra for cooked b/fast. Very nice freshly cooked, hot, good quality products. Nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely recommend the Star Inn and stay there again. Or even go for a nice meal. Give it a go !

A lovely old Inn with loads of character

A lovely old countryside Inn which has been modernised to an excellent standard whilst maintaining the old features The bedrooms are of a good size with comfy beds and stylish ensuite with powerful shower The room we stayed in also had the added benefit of air conditioning which was welcoming indeed with the ouyside temps being over 30^c Food service and all staff were excellent and all in all we found The Star to be a great place to stay

Would thoroughly recommend this hotel. Staff were lovely. Friendly, helpful and efficient. Room was very clean, well appointed and cosy. Bed was comfortable. Bar / restaurant offered excellent food and drinks both in the evening and next morning for breakfast. Continental Breakfast included in the price was more than sufficient for our needs. Hopefully we'll get another opportunity to stay there.

Really lovely place in beautiful location. Room was fabulous, very clean and comfortable. Was very quiet too and got an excellent nights sleep. The bar was great for a late night drink before bed, staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent ( cooked options not included in price) the only negative was there was no gluten free option. Would definitely stay again.

Our stay was great. The only disappointment was the shower. It wasn't very powerful and the temperature was unreliable. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly. The continental breakfast was very good so it wasn't necessary to order additional cooked items.
