Paid almost £300 for a family room and no breakfast included. Hotel was extremely busy, impossible to get to the bar. Despite checking in online still lots of queueing for lifts, luggage etc. Reported noisy next door guests, was told it wasn’t late enough to say anything. They were up until 2am running up and down corridors and banging doors! Clearly a group booking. No phones in the room call down and report! Not happy!

The room was clean but a bit cold due to the draught from the window. Nice large comfy bed and good TV. All the public spaces in the hotel are of excellent standard. The breakfast was very good.

Terrible. I had already paid but then was faced with an additional charge when I arrived which I was told was a deposit. I checked with the booking website and I was told I was charged in error - over £100!Really unacceptable and sad to see such a formerly great hotel operate this way. How on Earth did this happen? Light wasn't working properly. Room service knocking on my door at half 9 and disturbing me.

Lovely xmas entrance and great location near station and xmas markets.Reception looked lovely wit decorations and tree.Free water and sweets. Not great view from room and bathroom small and a bit tight to get in near bed. Nice teas ,biscuits and water in the room.Breakfast was very nice with good selection and different juices like Rhubarb and Blueberry .Recommended.

Lovely hotel, minutes from the station. Lovely entrance and reception area. Friendly check in staff. Lovely room city side, bit draughty as it has the old sash windows. Amazing breakfast. Would recommend and definitely stay again
