Custom Lodge Near Leavenworth w/ Game Room

Whisperwood Lodge is a grand lodge-in-the-woods retreat at the end of a private, tree-lined driveway, 11.1 miles from downtown Leavenworth. With five bedrooms, 4.5 baths, and room for 14 across three levels, it's built for large families and groups who want space to spread out and a home that entertains in every season.

Sleeping arrangements (sleeps 12): The main level has a queen bedroom. The lower level has three bedrooms — two with a queen plus a twin loft bunk each, sharing a jack-and-jill bath, and a third with a queen and attached bath. The second-level master has a king bed, walk-in closet, and a spa-like ensuite with double stone sinks and a glass shower; a loft kids' play area is accessed through the master bedroom. The living room also has a sofa bed.

The main level is open-concept, with a large fully stocked kitchen, dining area, and a living room anchored by a gas fireplace, plus a dedicated workspace tucked into the corner for anyone needing to check in with the office. Downstairs is the group's favorite gathering spot: a game room with a foosball table, poker table, dart board, and big-screen TV for family movie night. A soaring great room with two-story windows brings the forest setting inside.

Outdoors, enjoy a private in-ground pool (open May through September) reserved for this home only, plus a separate hot tub on the deck. Fire up the propane grill (propane provided) and take in the wooded mountain views. Radiant heated floors on the lower level keep things cozy in cooler months.

Good to know: There is no air conditioning. The home has a gas fireplace (not wood-burning) and no garage access. Entry is via an electronic lock, with your access code issued automatically before arrival.

Winter access (Nov 15–Apr 15): This is a steep hillside property with challenging winter access. Only high-clearance AWD/4WD vehicles are adequate, and you must carry cables or chains to install as needed. The driveway is long with steep sections and can be icy or snow-covered between snow-removal visits. There is no parking at the base of the hill, and Love Leavenworth is not responsible for any towing charges.

Additional notes: Maximum vehicle parking is 6. Guests must be 25 to reserve (exceptions for guests with prior positive reviews). No smoking anywhere on the property. We highly recommend travel insurance for winter and summer stays, as weather can be unpredictable and we hold firm to our cancellation policy.

Absolutely beautiful home, that’s well maintained and clean. We loved the pool, hot tub, wraparound deck, and even getting to watch shooting stars at night. The master suite having its own floor was such a nice touch. Great communication from both the property owners and managers the entire stay. Peaceful setting with gorgeous views, yet still close enough to enjoy Leavenworth. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again!

The host were very responsive to every question we had, and the property is comfortably wheelchair accessible. If someone is in a wheelchair, a friend should help them with the small bridge from the house to the poolside. Other than that, wonderful.

Beautiful Private Cabin

My family and I loved our stay at this property it was gorgeous! The best place to stay if your looking for a large private home with a view. The surrounding snow against the sunlight was to die for. This home had more than enough space for our family of 5. Each member had their own private wing ha! The drive to Leavenworth is less then 10 minutes which we enjoyed during our stay. We also didn't have any issues with the driveway in snow, it was fine as long as you don't go too slow. Unfortunately the hot tub was broken, but the staff was very apologetic and tried very hard to get it fixed, we understand during a pandemic its hard to get speedy repairs in the middle of the forest ha. Great stay, can't wait to visit in summer!

Large private cabin, but know what you signed up for

The cabin was wonderful and fit all of us. We really enjoyed the 3 levels and large living room and kitchen. The kitchen was well stocked. Watch out for the very steep driveway that switches back with no solar lights or yellow markings on the blocks that keep you from falling off the mountain side. Also the management company uses a time locked so if you show up any time before 4 pm you will have to wait at the front porch or call to get in (if you have cell service). If you are sensitive to dust like half our group you will have challenges in this cabin. I don't believe it has ever been dusted. Layers of dust on ceiling fans, window sills and really thick in the downstairs area. The hot tub was wonderful and we really enjoyed how quiet the area is. If the power goes out like it did on our trip you will have no water etc. No generator or small back up power currently. The cabin is on a well. The propane stove will still work with a lighter.

Thanksgiving Getaway

Overall a great stay, driveway very scary but they did warn us ahead of time and even called while we were on our way to let us know it was snowing, kids had a ball playing in the snow and with the neighbors dog, Jed, who visited us daily. The house had a few problems but were addressed right away once we called.

Beautiful house, no supplies

We stayed for 2 nights in December for the snow setting. The house is great, accurate listing, and help when I needed the check-in instructions sent again since it was confusing with VRBO and a secondary company managing the property. The only short comings were: 1. kitchen appliances were not clean on arrival (oven and BBQ) 2. kitchen was not stocked with basics for cooking, some utensils were dirty and the kitchen in general really needed a better scrubbing 3. garbage cans outside were all FULL and an animal had torn into another guests garbage sack that was left outside the can so my husband picked up someone else's garbage on his birthday. The architecture was gorgeous and setting was unbeatable so I would stay here again... maybe in the off season.

Family holiday vacation

Good amenities ( hot tub)and very roomy with our large family of 12! Beautiful views from every party of the house. Overall the rental was great! But could maybe use a new coffee pot? Very slow to brew. We will be staying here again.

This rental property is amazing. The only thing which i did not like was that it is at top of the hill and road is not paved which goes to the property and it can be risky during snow season.

Awesome property and views. Worth the 10 mile drive out of town but tricky to find the first time. Kitchen well equipped but very disappointed that the deer just did not work and several of us really wanted to wash a load. Manager tried to resolve but apparent that technician would need to work on it.

Wonderful relaxing getaway!

This property was everything we needed for a group of 4 couples spending a weekend away. The house was well-stocked and had a beautiful view of the forest and mountains. It was so private and had plenty of space for all of us to relax and enjoy. Wish we could of stayed

We booked this place and the day of and on our way to stay I received a message saying the hottub was out of order. Unfortunately we had to scramble to find a different place to stay so i cant give any further details other than that
