The property is absolutely amazing and cute. I came there on a work trip by myself, but it would definitely be something. I would love to bring my wife to. Love the smell of a newly remodeled room love the extra big bathtub since the downside was the hot tub was empty and not working, which was a plus if you were construction at the end of the day! Unfortunately, for some reason that wasn’t working and that was the only issue I had I would definitely stay here again and the customer service was very helpful.

Hello, I stayed at this place specifically for the hot tub, we got their and learned it was out of service. I would have stayed elsewhere. Also, there was not a fridge in our room. there was only one roll of toilet paper, the room was hot. it was clean but I would not stay again.
We love the Old Tale Inn and have stayed several times. This visit-
Positives: Comfy bed, they added a coffee pot to the room (I had brought my Keurig bc usually you have to share the coffee pot in kitchenette), good location, added a smoking section, quick to help with door code issue, we just like to stay here.
Some not so positives: It can be a little noisy at times. There were no coffee cups in room or at kitchenette. I wish they had better toiletry amenities. Can't turn heat off in the room.
See y'all in October!
I was in town for Leadville so I expect to pay stupid prices for hotels. What I don’t expect is to have no person on site to communicate any issues to, a hot room with no AC that is not mentioned. No coffee in their “coffee bar” just empty container that should have coffee. And to top it off - no where to park. I called the number online and got their other hotel which is where the employee are - I asked what I should do as there was no parking. She said find a spot on the street, I said there are no streets close so I will have to park a few blocks away. She said she would have a manger call me to advise. They never did. If you want to be ripped off for sub-par accommodations with no amenities that are advertised. This is your spot.

Overpriced stark room
Stark drab decor…. no wi-fi password at check-in and no one responded to request for one, shower did not have hot water…. Mixing valve needs repair… no in room instructions for TV , it was an ok room for $89 BUT it was $189. Just because demand is high isn’t an excuse to not have nice rooms
The smoke alarm in our room was missing. Two light fixtures were broken, along with one of the nightstands. Also an outlet we tried to use and the property’s hot tub were non-functional.
I emailed the property manager the night we arrived and still had not received a reply (or repairs) two days later. For $240/night we expected it to be in better condition.
Surprisingly very clean room. Spacious enough for me and a bike. Bathroom spotless. Great location. I had an issue with check in but i think it was a rare tech issue and the human customer service was excellent. I'll stay here again.
That property was quaint, but there was no signs on where the hotel was. And how to enter it, the coat to the door did not work. So I had to call the reservation desk to get it taken care of The lady was very friendly and fixed the problem quickly. There are no special amenities to this. The only thing that was posted was a hot tub, which was out of commission.
I got here very tired and needed to go to my room. I did not get the code via email, it malfunctioned, and the girl who answered the phone had no idea what to do. Finally got in after calling again. It was now 30 minutes. Then, no wifi code. I had to call and get that. The hot tub is broken, you can hear everyone through the walls, and no one has offered any concession.
The room was very spacious and clean and had everything you need (soap, lotion etc). It's about a 15-minute walk from downtown. The only downside is the walls work pretty thin and we could hear other people often. The hot tub was also out of order. The front desk was very accommodating when we had some issues getting into town and tried to change rooms

On arrival we did not have power to our room. There were no staff on site to help and when we called the posted number (twice) we did not receive a callback for 2.5 hours. When we did it was very unprofessional. “Do you have power?” No identification as a staff member and no apology.
After some discussion we did receive a partial refund for our trouble and they did eventually get the power restored, but waiting and wondering if we should try to find another room wasn’t how we wanted to spend our night.
Generally the room was clean and comfortable, but the property is rough with no signage to indicate it was in fact the Old Tale Inn until you are out of your vehicle. The rooms are fronted by a glassed in hallway that was baking in the sun all day, making our room incredibly warm. (No ac which we did know in advance.) Little details like pieces of rebar holding the windows closed, random piles of junk in the hall and upholstery falling apart made it feel very shabby.
Appreciated the refund, because none of this was worth the more than $200 per night rate we had initially paid. Do not recommend.

No staff on site on arrival, but we did receive a email with our room number and code to get into the room prior to our arrival. The room was clean and close to the downtown area.
