Just a few metres from the bus & train interchange, this hotel could not be better located for access to those facilities. My room was cupboard-size small but adequate for 1 or 2 nights. It seemed safe in the area, which has several food outlets & cafes relatively close. It isn't air conditioned- which seems to be normal in most smaller hotels in Europe. In the middle of summer, that can make it uncomfortable. Breakfast was available, relatively expensive & basic but adequate. No English language TV channels that I could find. Central city is about a 20 minute walk & the cruise terminal similarly. Perfectly fine for a short stay.

No bar, no restaurant, no terrace, no snack bar/deli & no free offsite parking per Expedia’s description. The room provided was inferior to that paid for. Coffee machine provided in the room but no coffee. Room & breakfast area both had grubby floors. Staff were edgy & not particularly friendly which made the atmosphere uncomfortable most of the time. Basic communication only. Very noisy surroundings from very early in the morning, i.e. 4 a.m. All-in-all a disappointment & won’t stay there again.

Location location location

Great location across the street from the railway station. Friendly and helpful staff. No refrigerator in the room but that is typical French hotel style. Tramway was right there for forays into the city.

Well situated for getting around Le Havre on foot or by public transport. Also convenient for other cities, as it’s near the railway station. The room was quiet and well equipped, but as there is no air-con, it could get quite noisy with the window open. The room was modern but it needed much better floor cleaning. The maids appeared to just sweep some areas and there was quite a lot of dirt accumulated under the desk and bed. This could be a really big problem for people with asthma.

Reception has to improve.

The receptionist couldn't comprehend English language. There are problems in the check in procedures, he think the hotel only accept booking from expedia.com. I think after my stay, now he knows bookings can be made possible in hotels.com. The room itself is good, there is no shower room on my floor.

Parfait ! Rapport qualité/prix IMBATTABLE !

C’est dĂ©jĂ  la troisiĂšme fois que je pose mes valises dans cet hĂŽtel, et, une fois encore, la magie opĂšre. Avec son Ă©lĂ©gante façade en brique rouge, typique de la pĂ©riode de la Reconstruction, l’établissement s’intĂšgre harmonieusement dans le paysage architectural du boulevard de Strasbourg. À l’intĂ©rieur, tout respire le soin et l’attention : propretĂ© irrĂ©prochable, confort soignĂ©, et un accueil toujours aussi chaleureux, sincĂšre et souriant. La nuit s’y dĂ©roule dans un calme absolu — l’insonorisation y est remarquable —, loin du tumulte du boulevard pourtant tout proche. La dĂ©coration, douce et feutrĂ©e, invite naturellement au repos. On s’y sent bien, apaisĂ©, comme enveloppĂ© d’une bulle de sĂ©rĂ©nitĂ©. Difficile d’imaginer, Ă  un prix aussi raisonnable, un niveau de qualitĂ© aussi Ă©levĂ©, et surtout aussi constant. L’emplacement, lui aussi, est idĂ©al : Ă  quelques pas de la gare, et Ă  une agrĂ©able quinzaine de minutes Ă  pied du quartier Perret. La promenade le long du boulevard, bordĂ©e de bĂątiments d’avant-guerre, de constructions de la Reconstruction et d’édifices contemporains, vaut Ă  elle seule le dĂ©tour. L’hĂŽtel propose un service de restauration, mais les environs regorgent de tables conviviales et variĂ©es. Bref, un vĂ©ritable pied-Ă -terre pour ma part, Ă©tant amenĂ© Ă  me rendre plusieurs fois par an au Havre — et toujours avec le mĂȘme plaisir de retrouver cette adresse.
