The Stables, Le Bourg-Dun

Very pleasant and modern conversion of an old stable block. The manager, Caroline was very welcoming and helpful. The spiral staircase was a little challenging, but for a short stay not significant. The only thing needed was an Information Folder to explain the cooker etc. Perhaps a quick visit to the nearby Office de Tourisme for some leaflets of locsl attractions would also help

Geweldig verblijf

Dit huisje is echt een geweldige uitvalsbasis om dit gedeelte van Normandië te verkennen.Het kleine dorpje heeft een heerlijke bakkerij. De stranden liggen op slechts 3 km en op korte afstand liggen allerlei leuke dorpjes. Daarbij is het huisje zelf ook echt geweldig echt geweer ldug!

Passendes Domizil für junge Familie mit Hund

Modern und interessant hergerichtete Scheune mit viel Platz und grossem Garten. Obwohl das Ferienhaus direkt an der Hauptstrasse gelegen ist (3 Gehminuten zum Bäcker oder kleinem Lebensmittelladen direkt an der Hauptstrasse) merkt man vom Verkehr dank moderner Innendämmung überhaupt nichts. Auf der Terasse direkt an der Dun sitzt man geschützt, der Hund kann in Garten toben und hat viel Auslauf. Küche top, mit Induktionsherd (muss man wissen, wenn man seine Espressokanne mitnehmen will). Ein zusätzliches WC im EG würde das Haus noch toppen, denn die Treppe nach oben ist der einzigste Knackpunkt, ggf. für ältere Bewohner etwas schwierig. Sonst, alles perfekt, gerne wieder mal !

prijs kwaliteit verhouding niet in balans..

Eerste indruk prettig. Jammer dat er plankjes van de vlonder van het terras in stukken lagen. Het gehuurde linnengoed was summier, opgemaakt bed, 1 badhanddoek per persoon en 1 theedoek voor een verblijf van een week.. We hebben niet meer gevraagd om extra handdoeken. Een parasol werd direct verzorgd nadat we hier om vroegen. Het huisje ligt aan een doorgaande weg, we hadden 2 honden bij ons, deze konden niet los, het privé ‘park’ is geheel open , geen poort of omheining.

Schöne Ferienwohnung in guter Lage

Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr dörflich gelegen (geschätzt weniger als 100 Einwohner), aber eigentlich gut erreichbar. Auch sind diverse kleinere und größere Orte mit Stränden gut erreichbar, z.B. Quiberville, welches unserer Meinung den schönsten Strand in der näheren Umgebung hat, oder auch Veile-Les-Roses. In der Beschreibung der Ferienwohnung ist leider erst am Ende und auf französisch zu lesen, dass Bettwäsche und Handtücher gegen Gebühr zur Verfügung gestellt werden können, was auch wirklich zu empfehlen ist, da die französischen Bett- und Wäschegrößen mit den deutschen inkompatibel sind. Wir sind Anfangs fälschlicherweise davon ausgegangen, dass Bettwäsche und Handtücher gestellt werden (wie es im Hauptteil der Beschreibung steht), auf Nachfrage haben wir dann jedoch erfahren, dass dieses extra kostet und, wie bereits gesagt, ganz unten auf Französisch beschrieben steht. Der Stauraum in den Schlafzimmern ist ausreichend. Ein Schlafzimmer hat ein Doppelbett, das andere hat zwei aneinander gestellte Einzelbetten, welche sich offensichtlich auch nicht miteinander befestigen lassen. Das Doppelbett ist absolut unbequem (Futonbett). Wir hatten die Vermieterin am letzten Tag darüber informiert und sie sagte, dass sie über ein anderes Bett nachdenken wird, hatte aber bisher noch keine Beschwerden hierüber. Erwähnenswert ist der nahegelegenen Bäcker (kein 5 Gehminuten), welcher hervorragendes Brot hat. Im ca. 10km entfernten Ouville-la-Riviére gibt es einen hervorragenden Patissier, einen Metzger (Boucherie) und einen größeren Lebensmittelladen. In LeBourg-Dun gibt es einen kleinen Lebensmittel Laden (Epicerie), in Luneray einen Lidl und Supermarkt (Auchan). Kurzum, die FeWo war ruhig, die Lage OK, in der Haute-Normandie hat man überwiegend Steinstrände, wer Sandstrände bevorzugt, sollte die Basse-Normandie wählen. Vom Ort aus erreicht man alles ganz gut, einen schönen Strand gibt es im benachbarten Quiberville.
