We used a B&B hotel last year near Santiago de Compostela in Spain, and it was modern and very pleasant…. with staff!
This hotel is very impersonal, like I imagine a Formule 1 to be, though I have never used one. It is sited in the back of a commercial/industrial estate, you wonder what you are driving in to. Once in, no staff available means you have to check in to a terminal outside, six number codes to get in after that, and it wasn’t that cheap!
In fairness, the breakfast was pleasant enough, it is not an experience I want to repeat, I’ll pay a little more if I come this way again.
Just a tip but if you want to eat nearby, we found the ‘Au Bureau’ about ten minutes walk away is very good in quality and value!
