The best parts were the staff and the Villas. The staff - specifically INIA and KOSO - as well as each and every staff member. Made us feel welcome, shared their live experience on Fiji (locals perspective), and remembered what we liked to eat. Also went out of their way to find us transportation to other parts of the island and to adventures we wanted to do. Every person said Bula each time our paths crossed on the property! We think Fijians are wonderful people based on our experience ! We stayed at one of the villas (numbers 101 to 108) that were in front of the pier, and that had its own pool in the front. What a great time! So glad we did this instead of staying in a standard hotel room. We watched the sun set each night, walked along the water to the restaurant 50 meters away, treaded the water near the pier when the tide was in… and played in the pool with our daughter! You will need to arrange for transportation to do adventures outside of First Landing, but they do have a boat that leaves the pier on the property for daily trips to MalaMala and 2 other islands - MUST DO adventures that extend the fun of your time in Fiji. Enjoy your trip Fiji! You won’t go wrong with First Landing!

As we drove into the vicinity of the resort, we thought where are we going. As we passed the fuel and gas depots we were quite concerned, but once we saw the marina and arrived at First Landing, we fell in love. This place has old traditional Fiji beauty, and we loved our beachfront room. The staff were exceptionally. Their warm smile and wish to please was such a beautiful thing to experience. If you’re after glitz and glamour, this may not be the place for you, but if you want old Fijian charm, First Landing won’t disappoint. We loved every minute of our stay.

After spending a week at First Landing with my wife, I can confidently say it’s the only destination we’ve visited that we’re already planning to return to. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay, making us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. The food was consistently great, and our Ocean Spa Bure was clean, comfortable, and offered stunning views—perfect for a relaxing getaway. If I had one criticism, it would be the pricing of goods and services at the resort. However, I understand this is more due to government regulations than the resort itself. All in all, we had an unforgettable experience. We’ll definitely be back. Bula!

This resort is ok, the outside of property when walking within the resort is nice because of the landscape and trees but overall very boring. The rooms are spacious but the bathrooms are very old inside and the caulking isn’t maintained so you can see holes within the floor and sink etc. The worst part is the trees have these hard black things that fall from them and when they land on the roof it sounds like someone is breaking into the room lol. They land so hard on the tin roof that it creates a banging effect and it would disturb our sleep at night because of the wind picking up at night. There is no entertainment on the property at all other than odd singing here and there in the bar area. You cannot swim on the property therefore making you pay for a taxi and search for a beach. And the beach nearby has black sand not white so the water isn’t clear either. However it was warm and nice but kind of scary because you cannot see in it clear even when close to shore. And lastly the food is mediocre, the same fruits and pastry options were displayed daily, no change of taste etc. The food you order also is ok too nothing special at all. This report isn’t all inclusive you have to pay for all food and drinks apart from the pricey stay which makes it not worth staying in my opinion due to the other things I mentioned above. Overall it needs help desperately. It’s perfect for boring elderly people. The staff are all welcoming and sweet which is the only plus for the resort.

We absolutely loved our stay at First Landing. The service was incredible-from front desk to pool to restaurant, we’ve yet to experience service like this from any other resort or hotel stay anywhere else. The food at the restaurant was delicious, and the entertainment during certain nights at the restaurant was fabulous and inclusive. We must give a shout out to Miryim who worked for the kids club, as she made sure to acknowledge our kids every time she saw them and she included them during every activity. Awesome! We stayed in the Burre which was definitely a little dated, but well kept by housekeeping. We would absolutely recommend this resort to anyone visiting Fiji!

Firstly - the ocean view bure we booked was a horrid cold damp hut looking out over a garden. Sheets were stained, was all just very old and grimey. They did allow us an upgrade luckily as we were so upset. I found the staff to be disingenuous - bula how are you, but said through a forced must. I felt staff had a real attitude of ‘not my problem’ here, service was shocking. I wanted to order a taxi, oh come back later lovely lady, aka lazy, then the evening meal service was shocking - I ordered a drink and it took me asking 4 separate staff where it was before I went up to the bar to get it myself, not a sorry, just a laugh. Really disingenuous. Because there are SO MANY staff everywhere they obviously think they can get away with getting someone else to do it, again lazy. We never got our welcome drinks either - again we asked 5 staff by which point we said we’d never eat there again. We ate next door at the marina - highly recommend that place. Would never come back to Fiji because of this experience.

For our last night in Fiji, First Landing had a great location in proximity to Nadi Airport. We enjoyed hanging at the property before we had to leave for the airport. The staff was very accommodating to our needs. For the restaurant, they provide a good serving. My husband and I could have split a dinner for 2. Fun nightly entertainment of cultural dances.
