The hotel is definitely dated, but what it lacks in modern style it makes up for in location and staff. You honestly couldn’t ask for better convenience—it’s literally a 30-second walk to both the train and metro stations, which made getting around incredibly easy.
The staff were warm, professional, and helpful throughout our stay, which made a big difference. Our room and bathroom were surprisingly spacious, and while the balcony didn’t have a view or any chairs, it was private, a good spot for fresh air, and useful for drying hand-washed clothes. The room also had a fridge and coffee machine, which were very handy.
One thing to note: the hotel does have a very strong fragrance throughout. As someone sensitive to scents, I was a little concerned at first, but it didn’t end up bothering me. Still, it’s worth mentioning—it seems to be the same scent as their soaps, and while others may enjoy it, I personally wasn’t a fan.
The lobby also has a really yummy café, which we enjoyed. We didn’t try the buffet, so I can’t comment on that.
Overall, if you value location and helpful staff over modern décor, this hotel is a solid choice.
