Lighting in the room was bad. There's no switch at the door to illuminate the main room. You just can't see. The switches that are further in the room are small and non-standard, so hard to recognize. The switch that lights the headboard shown in the picture was intermittent--sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. Two of the freestanding lamps in the room had no switch at all, and did not light with any of the switches I finally identified in the room. Shower was excellent, with plenty of warm water. Room was clean. Outside lights at night kept the room from darkening as most prefer for sleep.

When we arrived, there was no front staff readily available for check in. When someone did arrive, he looked like he had been sleeping and was not friendly at all. He couldn’t find any new key cards to provide us. He took a used one out of a drawer that was covered in something sticky and said that will have to work. Before we even got to our room, the parking lot was filthy. Once we entered the building where our room was located, the building smelt musty like wet dog and our room was no better. I didn’t even attempt to eat breakfast after the initial experience. There was nobody on staff at checkout. For the amount of money I paid, I would expect better service.

Upon arriving the manager was not friendly. He was rude to be matter of fact. He gave me two keys, which neither worked when I tried the door. Went back to him, he said it was me. We then walked to the room, only one key he could get to work after several tries with it. He was a complete jerk. I cussed at him. And he cussed me back. Very unprofessional and he should be fired. After speaking to 6 other couples staying at the hotel, I learned their keys didnt work either. Breakfast was crap, coffee was always cold. Terrible. I will never stay at this chain or any linked to it ever again.
