Enjoy oyster farming ports, boat trips, and visits to Île aux Oiseaux (Bird Island) with its stilted cabins. Explore local markets and gourmet food halls featuring regional specialties, foie gras, Gironde caviar, oysters, and Bordeaux vineyards. Nearby are cycle paths (85 km loop around the basin). My gîte is located in a quiet cul-de-sac where you can park. The road ends at the hiking trails of the Certes/Graveyron estate (a landscaped natural area with a 15 km loop trail). A large seawater swimming pool is 800m away, ideal for sunbathing and picnics. Discover the Dune du Pilat (approximately 45 minutes from the gîte). A 12th-century neo-Gothic church is also located on the property. Shops 300 meters away (supermarkets), cycle path access. The cottage, attached to the owner's house, has a landscaped enclosed courtyard with a 3m x 3m gazebo, garden furniture, deck chairs, barbecue, and electric griddle. A fully equipped, modern open-plan kitchen (induction hob, filter coffee maker) opens onto the living/dining room, which features a comfortable sofa and a large-screen TV. The bathroom has a shower cubicle, toilet, and vanity unit with a sink and mirror. A nautical-themed bedroom includes a 140x190cm bed, duvet and blankets, two 60x60cm pillows, and a bolster. Electricity consumption exceeding 8 kWh/day and heating (heat pump) are charged extra, based on meter readings. Bed linen, towels, kitchen linen, and end-of-stay cleaning are available as optional extras. Wi-Fi access is provided. Electric vehicle charging is available 200 meters from the cottage.
