Pass on this hotel

We checked in and checked out less than 10 minutes later. Booked two rooms for our family. First room had no working manual lock and bed comforter was stained. Second room smelled of rotting fish.

The staff were very rude. There were no towels for the pool, not enough towels in the bathroom or toilet paper, and there were crumbs on the floor in the kitchen area when we arrived.

I really wanted to rate this hotel high but it is extremely dated and worn. Yes everything functions but dear management, it’s time. Gut out the rooms and reface it. There is enough tourism in the area that you can afford to reconstruct. The staff were extremely friendly. The hotel is in the heart of where you want to be but I wouldn’t come back. The room reeked of over use, the towels were like Ajax pads, the carpet is older then dirt, I’m grateful it was only for one night that I needed the room.

Check-in was a disaster. He said aloud that my card was declined, but it wasn't. He didn't realize I prepaid with Expedia. After a few minutes he realized hia error. We drove around the back to the room and the door was propped open with a chair. Wasps and other flying insects were in the room. The room smelled of smoke, mold, and feces. I went back to desk ans while I waited I went to the lobby bathroom. The mirror and sink had brown splashes on it. The walls were covered in graffiti. There was no soap and no paper towels. The whole place felt unsafe. There were literal gang members staying there. The overall area is safe, but that motel attracted seedy characters.

The room was not clean, there was no smart TV remote, the bed was uncomfortable and noisy. The shower head was broken; the dispensers were broken and filled with the wrong things (lotion in the soap dispenser). Overall, do not recommend staying here unless you don't care about the room and just need a cheap place to sleep.

I liked the fact that it had a kitchenette. I didn't like that it really didn't have a closet or safe to put valuables in, but i only stayed overnight so it wasn't a problem. Overall, I liked it.
