1st time we were disappointed with a stay at HI. Room only had 1 mug and towel on arrival, stingy with the milks (only 4 so = 2 cups tea only) Our stay was over Christmas, it was frosty outside but room heating not working. Reception gave us plug-in heater. Day 2 no teabags given, dirty mugs not changed and empty bin left in middle of floor with no liner - had to ask reception. No towels in gym/pool entire stay - had to use from room but nowhere to dry them so damp for later on. Pool. changing area not cleaned - kitkat wrapper by jacuzzi for days, bottle tops in corner of showers not removed whole stay. Breakfast room clutttered - coffee m/c in narrowest area, no water boiler and hot water from coffee m/c tastes funny for tea, plus milk no where near the tea-point. Cereals by hot-dring area, but no nearby milk. No cloths on handles of hot dish-lids, lovely hot plates, but no napkins to allow you to hold them; cold meats not topped up and selection offered reduced as stay progressed. Tables too close together so one couple being 'nudged' as people squeezed past. Music in reception early mornings way too loud, same during breakfast and evenings. The football table meant eating breakfast with loud clacking of the game throughout, and kids screaming as they scored. The hotel has good potential and is in a good location, but seems to be lacking in leadership and supervision of what should be 'routine' tasks for housekeeping.

I didn’t expect much when I booked, I wasn’t surprised in any way. A budget hotel (not really at budget prices though) that will you’ll forget you ever stayed at in no time at all.
Had to get the bedsheet changed as the current one was covered in dirty footprints

Everything was great apart from the room temperature which was freezing cold. No matter what temperature you set the room thermostat to it did not work. Spent a very cold night should have reported it but it didn’t
