Clean rooms and comfortable stay. There was a large group of students staying the same night and as a result there were not enough seats to eat dinner. Even the second floor lounge area was full and some had to sit on the ground to eat.

The place is nice overall, it's at a prime location. However their beds creaks!!!! Also the whole place only has 2 washing machines and 2 dryers. If the place is full probably close to 100 people staying the laundry efficiently not enough. It's not a hard no but I'll not stay at Haka if there's other reasonable options in the area.

Chill in 4pxn room.

Stayed in shared room w 4 persons ensuite. Bed was comfortable. Room and bathroom with heater facilities. As usual and similar to other shared rooms , hanging hooks is limited to one per bed thus used to it. Same complaint on the water detergent but since I purchased one myself, thus is not an issue anymore. Water pressure is good and glad was given a room w accessible thus room is bigger than normal 4 bedder room.

Lovely place to stay, we enjoyed staying in a hostel in a more rural part of NZ. Just found it a bit noisy at night, the sound of the doors opening was constant. The walls were quite thin, so we could hear neighbouring rooms very clearly.
