Get what you pay for in Tekapo

Get what you pay for in a tourist hot spot, so can't expect too much considering the price vs other hotels. Shower is very small with roof that makes it feel tiny. There was a used tissue left in the shower also. Otherwise it was fine for the night, very handy location being in the middle of the village. Nice view from the deck in our upstairs room. It's a bit noisy with other guests on the wooden walkway and there isnt a blind for the frosted main door, so the room stays quite light during the night.

Very friendly staff, a lovely view out over the lake and although close to bus stops and backpackers, very quiet. A microwave would have been great to reheat meals but otherwise well equiped and clean. Close to everything including the supermarket, cafes and Dark Sky. It was a very relaxing 2 nights there.
