The one issue was that Room #3 was not advertised by Hotels.com that the air conditioner was not working. We were initially told that there were no other rooms but later told that there was one available and so we were able to move. There is only one person to help check in. Otherwise all the staff was friendly and the band was great.

It was a cute room and it was clean. But it’s not very well lit outside if you wanted to go to the casino at night. Also, there is no on-site gift shop and no on-site food at all! So it was a problem that I forgot my toothbrush and I was hungry. There’s no refrigerator in the room either so you can’t keep food there. It’s good if you don’t wanna spend a lot of time in your room and you’re not looking for food close by.

The room was really wonderful, spacious and with lots of character. My only gripe is that you have to check in at the Crystal Bay Club Casino next door which isn’t convenient and detracts from the historic ambiance of the Border House itself…

The main issue I had with the room was the jacuzzi tub not functioning. That was the whole reason for us booking that room. The hotel seems to just be an extra thing for the casino, it was difficult to get ahold of any hotel staff as they didnt really have anyone. It was clear they dont check the rooms much before you check in because of that, dust on everything in the closet, and our safe was locked open so I couldn't use it either. The bed was very comfortable though and shower was nice and clean and had great water pressure. There is no door on tje bathroom which was a little odd but not a big deal. Overall its not a bad place to stay just not worth the money we paid for it given the circumstances.
