Hair in the sink drain and some food particles. It was gross. I don’t mind old building or old furniture or small bathroom as long as they are clean. I got worried on the first few minutes that we went in the room as the power for the AC tripped. The towels were gross. We bought towels in target. There were hairs also stuck in the hair dryer. I’m not going to boom there again.

The rooms are comfortable and pet-friendly, the staff is helpful, and you’re just steps from the lake, shops, and Heavenly Gondola. It’s the perfect home base for outdoor adventures without breaking the bank!

The room was clean, spacious, and had everything I needed, including a fridge, microwave, and comfortable bed. I loved that some rooms even have a fireplace — perfect for those chilly Tahoe nights! I’d definitely recommend Big Pines Mountain House to anyone looking for a laid-back, affordable stay close to all the Tahoe action. I’ll be back for sure!

The location is truly unbeatable—just a short, easy walk to Heavenly Village, the casinos, and the lake! The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Great value for such a prime spot!

The pictures of what the rooms look like online nothing close to what we got. The front door looked like it had been broken into and the door lock didn’t even latch or anywhere near closed. The beds were really uncomfortable and stained. Heater did not work

You get what you pay for. Check reviews, look closely at the pictures. If you need a cheap stay in a great location this is it. But do not expect much from the property itself.

The front desk was locked most of the times. So to get the room cleaned or for any service request, you have to call the property manager. The room was enabled for a single day and it has to be renewed everyday if you are staying more than a day. Otherwise rooms are cleaner and spacious. Service staff is helpful and reachable.

Big Pines Mountain House gave us that classic Tahoe vibe — woodsy, welcoming, and walkable to everything. The room was spacious and clean, and we loved the easy access to the lake and Heavenly Village. Great spot for a relaxed mountain getaway!

There was no line when I came in and my check in process still took 20-30 minutes. It should not have taken that long. My reservation was for a king bed with a fireplace and they did not honor that. They said the fireplace did not work. The fireplace was the reason I booked the room. Not happy about this.
