We visit Lake Placid regularly, and I have stayed in many hotels in this beautiful town. The only positive I see with the Boha is that it is a bit less expensive, although not by much. The location isn't too bad, so that is a partial positive. There are lots of negatives however: (1) there are absolutely no services (front desk, pool/hot tub/restaurant/nothing); (2) the room I was in was worn and had damage that wasn't repaired when we arrived; (3) it was loud at night; (4) it was difficult to contact anyone with the hotel staff and if there were an emergency I don't know what would happen; (5) parking was extremely limited and we didn't leave out of fear that we would lose our spot. I could find more... good luck.

Overall very good experience. Updated, clean, nice room size and very comfortable bed. No closet, no real hanging options for a coat, never mind any clothes to be hung. Odd placement of rack over kitchenette area that doesn’t leave any room for a short ladies shirt to hang. No back up towels or toilet paper given virtual check in and no on site help is a little bit frustrating.

Boha - Lake Placid

Parking was free and secure. The room was decorated in a steam punk theme. The owners were very attentive. They kept in touch with us throughout our stay. The bed was a dream, the shower was fabulous.

Cute little hotel with rustic siding. No front desk, check in was by text from hosts, which was very friendly and concise. Room had frig and coffee machine. Walkable (about a mile) to downtown Lake Placid. The hosts do note in the info in the room that the walls and floors are thin. I am an early to bed person and the footsteps above were slightly disturbing but they settled around 10.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. They have self check in. We couldn’t find our check in information and code to get in. We called several times and waited 30 minutes-no one ever called. Thank goodness my husband finally found the text was sent to his phone and not mine. Never heard from the Boha to help.

We love Lake Placid

Fun, funky modern decor. Great location. Easy parking. A few sitting areas outside to enjoy morning coffee or a beverage in the afternoon. Downfull was no staff or support available, on site or even by phone. We where locked out of our unit. Message said"code expired " I couldn't reach anyone by phone. Everything we needed was inside the room, otherwise we would have tryed to get a different accommodation for the night. Luckily enough I found a window I was able to force open. My husband just had a hip replaced, we are bith over 70 and wearing on dress clothes for the evening. I did manage to get through the window without alot of damage to my clothes and self. Of course I landed on my head. It could have been a lot worse. My BNE experience is an adventure to talk about. The take home message is that anyone could get away with breaking into those rooms. No follow up or apology from the company. They call themselves a 5 star facilitie. I don't think so. Service and consideration gives you the rating of 5 stars. We are not beginners. We stayed in hotels for more than 60 nights this year alone. Seniors traveling while we still are able. Including crawling through windows. 5 star, I don't think so. The rooms were nice, well designed and clean. Thats half of the battle anyway.
