Not the Marriot, but it served our purposes. Needed a good place to sleep and facilities operating at standard. It met that for a reasonable price...

Nice place to spend a night. Staff was friendly, room was reasonably clean and quiet. The hotel could use a little sprucing, but we were happy with our night’s stay. We did not use the pool or have the breakfast, so cannot comment on that. It was great of the staff to offer an early breakfast to accommodate Ironman attendees.

The property is nice, beautiful setting. Staff are excellent. The only downside is the “breakfast”. They had some bagels, breads, cereal and a waffle maker. A far cry from the excellent restaurant that used to be there.

We stayed here during the Lake Placid Ironman. The hotel was fine and the staff were friendly. However, like all other hotels in the area, the price was probably more than double what it should be for a hotel like this. All the hotels around here seem to jack their rates way up during Ironman.

We like some of the older Adirondack properties. They may need some updating but everything is clean, and they have some character. The rooms are quite large, which is not always the case in newer hotels. The breakfast was pretty minimsl.
