Peaceful Lake Lure Retreat

Great stay

From the moment we stepped inside, we were pleased with Cabarnet Cove. Very clean rental and furniture and appliances were high end and well maintained. The kids loved swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding and canoeing in the lake. Great stop!

Beautiful Home

We absolutely loved this home near Lake Lure, on a smaller, very private lake. The home itself has beautiful furnishings and appliances that have been well take care of. Access to the country club is an added bonus. We would definitely come back and stay again!

A great getaway!

We were extremely impresswd with the property. It was well stocked with everything that we needed and more. The high end appliances and the grill were a bonus. The view and the serene environment was what we were seeking and this property did not disappoint. We hope to visit again soon.

I had coffee on the screened in porch while the kids used the canoe and paddle board to park colore the private lake. The lay out of this cabin and amenities were spot on. 5stars!

Girls Weekend

The location was perfect for a quiet and relaxing weekend. The home was beautiful, clean, and had plenty of room for the four of us. We really enjoyed the wood burning stove in the evenings. It would of been nice if they had provided 2 stacks of wood and 2 fire starters since we were staying two nights. The property that rents it out only provided us with one of each. We will defiantly stay at this home again!

House is awesome with a couple of "even better ifs"

This house looks exactly like the pictures. It is beautiful, with great views of the lake. This is *not* Lake Lure, but a smaller offshoot. LL is very nearby however. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out in the house. The finishes, appliances, TVs, bathrooms are all top notch. Be aware, you will become an expert at driving windy, twisty roads while here. It's beautiful though. What are the "even better ifs"? The biggest one is if you have to log in for work while you're here (which is fairly common in this day and age) the owners have for some reason not allowed access to their WiFi. There is a router in a maintenance room in the basement. But they have only provided a portable, limited data, "MyFi" device, which barely works. We had important work documents to access and send, and it was impossible. No reason to not have that upgraded, in such a nice house. The TVs are on satellite, so no need for it there, but it would be nice to be able to use a proper WiFi connection for the money being asked for. Side note it is unclear how to use the TVs with the sound bars. The living room was able to be figured out, but the basement was not. Even the Carolina Property guy couldn't figure it out. Maybe some typed out instructions? And I'm pretty good with tech.. The only other thing is someone put real logs into the gas fireplace...hard to believe, but true. But you wouldn't know beforehand. When you turn it on, the fire ignites, and you think everything is good.. but then the real log will ignite and the damper is inoperable, or at least it does not open for smoke to go up. Bottom line, use the fireplace with caution. Overall would recommend, with a few minor tweaks.
