Stayed 2 nights. Loved the cabin, comfy beds & good lighting next to beds. Beautiful 1 & a half baths. Great appliances in the kitchen. FYI: The closest town is Gay, a mile away & all that's there is a bar that does serve food, but we were so happy the host had left a frozen pizza for us, plus bkfst items as we drove several hrs to get there & really didn't want to get in the car again! The next day we went to Copper Harbor, which is 38 miles north. Mt Bohemia/Nordic Spa/Lac LaBelle is about 23 miles north. Get a reservation for the Harbor House in Copper Harbor, a restaurant on the lake. So delicious! Loved our cabin's deck & lots of seating with a beautiful view of the lake. Lots of wood & kindling provided for a fire in the fire pit. Very pet friendly! We'll definitely stay here again. Our 1st time staying on the east side of the Peninsula.

This place is a real gem. Views are stunning and very friendly owners. Would highly recommend if you are in need of a vacation house for SxS trips. Very easy to head up the road to copper harbor. We will be back!

Bob and Sherri have thought of everything

We went up for a winter weekend of skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. This is the perfect location. Easy trail access for snowmobiles. Twenty five minutes to Mt. Bohemia. They also have snow there in winter. This makes the whole crew happy. Love the location. Lake Superior is right out the window. The hosts have thought of everything you might need. From a stocked kitchen to extra blankets, this was comfortable. The entryway room with all of it’s hooks, is perfect for all your activity gear. Perfect for a winter get away.

A Paradise on the south side

Wow! What an amazing place to stay. Bob came by and introduced himself almost immediately, and he could not have been more welcoming and kind. He made my mother, who had never been to the Keweenaw, and was a bit nervous, feel right at home. The home we stayed in, The Captain, was incredible. Spotless modern fixtures throughout, three comfortable and spacious bedrooms, two huge windows overlooking the lake, and a luxurious deck in the back! It's amazing to see the progress Bob and Sherry have made, and I hope to return and enjoy the paradise they've created again soon!

Amazing View & Comfortable Home

This rental was spotlessly clean, beautifully and comfortably decorated updated rental. We had a wonderful time here! The beds and the living room furniture were very comfortable. The view is spectacular--looking out the windows and sitting on the deck is just beautiful. We also enjoyed the firepit at night. Our hosts were welcoming and very friendly. The rental is in a row of 5 rentals and while fine with us, that was not indicated from the pictures. The area around the rentals is a bit of a 'work in progress' , but again, this did not detract from our enjoyment. We had a wonderful 5 days and would happily stay again.
