The Neighborhood:
Lake George's holiday homes are situated in a small town next to Lerida Estate, which is open seven days a week, and just a short 10 km drive from the town of Collector. Where you can explore restaurants, cafes, wineries, and activities.
So, make an endless list of things to do and come visit Lake George Winery.
Spend a day exploring Cockington Green Gardens, a charming display of handcrafted miniature buildings from across the globe. Then head to the National Arboretum Canberra, a living collection of forests and gardens that blend natural beauty with sweeping views and event spaces. For a classic Canberra panorama, drive up to Mount Ainslie Lookout, where Lake Burley Griffin and the city’s landmarks unfold against distant mountain ranges, especially striking at sunrise or sunset.
Nature lovers will find calm at the Australian National Botanic Gardens, home to an incredible variety of native flora. Wander shaded trails, listen to the birds, and walk beneath the lush canopy of the Rainforest Gully.
If wine is more your pace, nearby vineyards offer cool-climate character and countryside charm. Visit Barton Estate Winery for intimate tastings, explore the Canberra Wine Region for its diverse cellar doors, or unwind with a glass at Brindabella Hills, where the views are as memorable as the vintages.
