Easy to check in and darling cabins that seemed well maintained. I didn’t understand about how we were to be our own housekeepers with fresh sheets available, but otherwise terrific!

Our cabin had cob webs everywhere, then I read they dont have daily service. So my question is do they change the bedding? One regular towel one small towel and a hand towel for 2 adults. The mattresses sags and needs replaced, the blanket looks so dingy and needs upgraded! Our room key was a pad lock and key. I understand no daily service but have a service clean it once a month. Overall they need to deep clean these cabins! I'm not over exaggerating some of the bigger cabins windows looked like plexiglass! I would not recommend this place for any couples maybe hunters but even then no thank you!

Older place but fitting for the area and all the side by sides and jeeps going out on the Alpine Loop. Had a lot of fun in town and the surrounding areas are breath taking.

I read a lot of negative reviews but honestly this was better than I expected! We were at the Fisherman cabin which I thought was a 2 bedroom but it was one bed in living room and one in a bedroom with a door. No big deal. Great spot where you can walk to town or the river. The heat wasn’t on so we asked Matt for one and he got us a heater. Clean cabin. Great water pressure. Quiet. The only thing was cabin had a code which wasn’t sent to me before check in but we caught Matt who was managing property and he gave us code. Really enjoyed the spot and great it’s dog-friendly. Would go again but get a bigger cabin

Last resort only....

Poorly maintained run down resort. Half the fixtures had light bulbs and only half of those worked. Cobwebs seem to be a theme here. No on site personal that we saw. Office had hours posted but no one was there. Room wasn't cleaned at check in time. (we were told the 2pm check-in listed on the confirmation and posted at the office were incorrect) If you have another option I recommend using it. Great location and the river running behind the resort was beautiful.

realize these are rustic cabins not luxury hotels

As with many places in Lake City, staff is limited and often filled with seasonal help. Check in was very informal- key was inside cabin that was rented. However, the primary person in charge (Matthew) was reachable and communicable through text and was extremely helpful in my transition from one cabin my first night to a different one the second night due to how I was able to reseve them. Sure there were creaks in the cabin and not perfect weather stripping but the bed was more comfortable than many lodges and fancy hotels I've stayed. Night wss peaceful once the UTVs were in for the night. My "neighbors" were very kind and friendly, too. Definitely a sense of community if you let yourself feel.
