E komo mai! This beautiful Pikake unit is located in West Maui close to many amenities and beaches. We recently purchased this unit because of the many happy memories we have built with our family here. We hope you will create memorable experiences there as well!

This corner unit is located on the 2nd floor and has an unobstructed direct ocean view. Walk down the stairs and directly only a small sandy ocean beach. Sea turtles can frequently be seen sunbathing on the sandy shore. Swim, snorkel, and play in the sand right outside your property without the hassle of long distance walking or driving. Waters are usually very calm and great for kids. Take in the daytime panoramic beauty of the seashore, the islands of Moloka'i and Lana'i, sailboats, and whales breaching (December - March) in the distance directly from your lanai. Absorb the breathtaking magic of the unparalleled sunsets while sipping on a cocktail or a West Maui coffee.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay. I screwed up the check-in process by not following instructions, all my fault (In my defense, I am a relative VRBO newbie). The host was great about it and he didn’t have to be. After that, all went perfect. We never had any issue finding parking. The property is right on the ocean and the lanai overlooks a small yard and then the beach. The chairs on the lanai are tall which is much appreciated as you can easily see over the railing for a clear view. We saw sea turtles every day and two actually came onto the beach the first night. The location is great in that you are no more than a 15-minute drive from amazing snorkeling and beaches. There are many restaurants and a few grocery stores close by. The space is very clean, in good shape, and well-stocked. There is plenty of storage space for all of your things. The property faces almost due west, so the sunsets are spectacular, but it can get hot and bright in the late afternoon and evening. There is a shade on the lanai and curtains that manage this well. The only minor complaint is that it can get loud in the back of the unit. The property is right off of a street that can be pretty busy. I gotten woken up several times when motorcycles, scooters, trucks or buses went by. Overall, this is an excellent rental for a Maui vacation. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Our second stay. Wonderful place, breezes flowing through all the windows, turtles, whales and beach out front, what else could you want. We had one issue that we contacted the host about. He could not have been more responsive, took care of it right away. Hope to return again.

A perfect place to get away in paradise. The location is the star… so close to what feels like your very own beach that sitting on the balcony is like being at the beach with a front row seat for the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. The small number of units at the Pikake make it feel so calm and private. So many things are close enough to walk… a lovely little park, a cute local souvenir shop, 2 excellent bakeries, Boss Frogs for rental, even a massage place. And you are steps from where your car is parked if you want to venture out to the natural treasures like the Coastal Trail, or to restaurants and shops in the more densely developed resort type areas. This host has thoughtfully supplied most anything you may need. From beach towels and chairs, to binoculars to watch the whales from the balcony, to flashlights for power outages, to games and books for rainy days, to a complete kitchen with all you need to make meals that you can enjoy on your balcony with a view that is so crazy beautiful! We felt like locals and loved getting to know Maui a bit better.
The pastel color gradients are SO beautiful. We saved at least 30 minutes to watch the sunset (and post sunset) from here every night!
Dinners on the balcony at sunset… better than any restaurant setting.

Our Favorite Spot

This was our second stay at Gitel's Place & we enjoyed it immensely both times. We love that there is no AC & that there are louvred windows on 3 sides to feel the ocean breeze & hear the waves all the way through the condo. Being on the second floors gives a great view of sunsets & sea life. The turtles feed on the rocks right in front & swim by every day. And this year we even had some sting rays visit. The condo is well equipped and so comfortable. Filip is so communicative & responsive! It really is our favorite place!

Best vacation ever!

This place was was perfect. The location set you up for so many options for food and activity. The beach was calm enough for our 2 1/2 year to enjoy. I think we spent hours just watching sea turtles swing back and forth between reefs.

Perfect location, short walk to the park, coffee and some gift shops. Got to enjoy the sea turtles of the lanai everyday! The condo was stocked with everything you need to cook at home. Felt like a home away from home.If you need to contact the owners with questions, they are prompt at responding.

Relaxation on Maui

The property is just as is pictured. It was so nice to stay at a smaller condo complex and having a beach just steps from the condo was so wonderful! Turtles would come everyday to eat off the rocks right in front of the condo and several times we saw spinner dolphins. We enjoyed our time there and would certainly stay there again.

What a Wonderful Getaway! Mahola

We really enjoyed staying at Gitel's Place. I was looking for a quiet alternative to a high rise and found our oasis here. The home is very well organized and everything is labeled for your convenience. We slept like babies to the sound of the surf in our backyard. Speaking of which, it was great to have our own private beach in the backyard to frolic in. The location can't be beat. I waited 50 years to come to Maui and we were both so happy to have found Flipp's place. A perfect size for a couple but it can easily accomodate a child or two. There was really only one night, at the dinner hour, when I felt a little uncomfortable since it was September and there is no AC in the unit. Other than that, we were fine. It was nice having the balcony on the second floor and the stairs are very manageable. No extra fees for parking or management here. Can't wait to visit again. Highly recommended!!

Magical place

Gitel's Place at the Pikake is an amazing place to stay. The property is beautifully maintained and fully equipped. It's right on the water so we enjoyed the ocean breeze, sounds of the ocean, and easy access to snorkeling, swimming, and relaxing by the water. Being on the second floor corner gives an amazing view! We loved sitting on the balcony to enjoy the view as we relaxed, read, & ate. We saw turtles every day as they fed on & around the rocks right in front of us. Swimming & snorkeling right off our beach was so lovely! Being the corner unit also allows for louvred windows on 3 sides so the condo stays pleasantly cool. We loved that we had fresh air & breezes rather than AC. We were so sad to leave & can't wait to go back.
