As someone who is a recurring guest every year, there was a little less regency and aloha this year. The check-in was disappointing — staff member struggled to find us a desirable room, the wait time was noticeably longer and staff did not come out proactively to assist customers when the line got long. 5/5 stars on the breakfast buffet at Swan court. Food options and taste improved significantly from last year and it was nice to see familiar faces still employed! The room amenities were downgraded with sustainable cups instead of glassware and no more Hyatt branded toiletries. Overall still great value and location. We love staying at this property and hope management can work out any kinks in the service and operation so both staff and customers are smiling.

Great hotel, food at the on site resort restaurants is overpriced and not that great. The resort is on a nice beach strip walking distance to a shopping center. The room was nice and big and other amenities very convenient.

The property was large with many amenities and three pools. The gym was the highlight of the amenities, it had everything. Expect increased crowds on the weekends and holiday (we went over Labor Day weekend) which means the pools and seating around them are more limited to registered guests of the hotel because there are many using the pools through a day pass. Spa was outdated but the service was good. My kid really liked the animal displays and the staff in the breakfast restaurant were really friendly. The property was clean but dated. You can walk or take the trolley to nearby Whalers Village. We would consider staying here again.

It was our 40th anniversary and we had a perfect stay. We felt welcomed from the moment we checked in. Amazing front desk staff! They went over and above. Entering our room we were wowed by the ocean view. Housekeeping left us a congratulation card and plumeria flowers around the room, which was a VERY nice and appreciated touch. The breakfast staff at the Swan Court were amazing. We enjoyed talking to them every morning - Flo and Elena took great care of us. Breakfast every morning was our favorite. Nice way to start the day with the staff's smiles and cheerful greetings. It has a nice happy bustling vibe. The resort location is good and the Hyatt has a lot of amenities. You can also use the pool next door at Hyatt vacation club (we actually liked this pool the best). We tried the resort restaurants: Umalu had a really good chicken and risotto dish and our waitress was so nice. Japengo has a good sunset view, and Sonz has a nice nighttime ambiance, but be prepared as both of these restaurants are pricey. This was a 10 out of 10 vacation.

This was a great location for our 1st trip to Maui. The property was beautiful!! The staff so welcoming & friendly. I would recommend renting a car as the resort is about 40 minutes from the airport. Also so you can get around the island. Whalers village was also very nice & convenient with shopping and food options. The only issue was the trolly did not come on schedule & walking at night is not ideal on the main road, there’s no walking through the beach to Whalers, the path takes you to the main street so if you’re dressed for a night dinner it’s kind of a pain to walk back to the resort. Not a deal breaker though.

We had an amazing time at this resort! Service was phenomenal; the front desk, the valet, all the restaurants provided a top notch experience for us. Highlights were the lava tube slide, virgin drinks at Umalu, the penguins, the bracelet and lei making activities, and the Swan Court breakfast. Having Whaler’s Village so close for some food/drink and shipping variety was really nice too. We ended up going to the Hyatt next door for their pool and hot tub (the ones at the Regency felt more mediocre, but I’m sure the littles really enjoyed the Napili pool). The water machines were a little outdated, as well. And they did put a huge hold on my credit card upon arrival that I wasn’t exactly expecting, but I ended up spending all of that (and then some) anyway. Overall, we had the experience of a lifetime, and I would highly recommend the Hyatt Regency Maui to anyone… especially families!
