My stay atthe Homing property in Lagos was incredibly disappointing and frustrating. The listing was misleading, and the actual experience was far from what was advertised. Here are the major issues we encountered: 1. The shower head stand was broken, making it nearly impossible to take a proper shower. 2. There was a serious lack of basic supplies. For five people staying three days, we were only provided with two rolls of toilet paper. 3. The kitchen had no paper towels, making it difficult to clean up after meals. 4. The washing machine was unusable as there was no detergent provided. 5. The Wi-Fi did not work at all, and when we contacted the host, we were shockingly told to fix it ourselves—a completely unacceptable and unprofessional response. 6. Communication from the host was poor. The entrance to the home involves an uphill climb after the gates, which was not mentioned in the listing. This made it extremely difficult to carry our bags up, and it should have been clearly communicated beforehand. But what truly ruined the stay was the host’s unpleasant behavior. They were rude and dismissive from the beginning, making us feel like we were an inconvenience rather than paying guests. When we reached out to discuss the numerous issues we were facing, they responded with a condescending and defensive attitude instead of addressing our concerns. It was clear that they had no interest in ensuring we had a comfortable stay and was more focused on deflecting responsibility.
