Waterlily House at Balenbouche Estate, on 70 acres of beachfront property

Balenbouche Estate is a renowned guesthouse, organic farm, heritage site and family home. The 70-acre grounds feature a plantation house, yoga barn, and 18th-century sugar mill surrounded by ancient trees, pastures, and wild beaches. Dining, massages and tours are available. The South of the island is the most beautiful and authentic. The pitons, hot springs, waterfalls and many other attractions are a short drive away. All our eco-friendly cottages (Waterlily, Banyan, Almond, Frangipani, Calabash and Moringa) are built without screens and cooled by the tropical breeze.

Waterlily is a unique 900-square-foot octagonal structure overlooking lush, tropical vegetation and is very secluded - it feels a bit like a tree house. The high ceilings and open plan and design of the roof allow for excellent ventilation. The gorgeous bedroom and deck is made with (reclaimed) tropical hardwood. The kitchen and bathroom are built with concrete, tile and colourful glass. Waterlily is elegant and artsy, but also modern and comfortable. It's the perfect place to work remotely or relax.

Beautiful Property!

I couldn’t be happier with my stay here. This isn’t your typical sterile, posh resort. It puts you in touch with nature and with the history of the area. Waterlilly is rustic yet refined and beautiful. You really feel like you’re in the middle of the jungle, with two private beaches and meals a short walk away. The hosts really made it a special experience with their warmth and brilliance. Will be back!
