We stayed at the lodge. The staff was super nice when you check in. They give you the key and you have to drive a mile back on the main road. It was very clean and quiet. The beds are comfortable. The view was amazing. It has picnic tables and a place to have a campfire outside. The only thing we wished we had was ice. There was a cooler labeled bag ice but none available at the time. We would definitely stay here again.

I had a noise complaint and went to reception to ask for a room change. Thankfully Amanda, the front desk manager was there and was able to accommodate my request with a smile and understanding. We will definitely be back. Loved the area and the accommodations here.

The room was spacious with two queen size bed and the area was very quiet. The refrigerator was a little loud. All in all it was a very pleasant weekend.

I booked a 2-queen size room at the Mountain Top Inn through Expedia and found out was a Cabin setting and my room was located at the back of the property facing the bushes. There was no direct entry to the room except walking down several steps and pavement to back of the building which would require lifting my suitcase and personal items to room. Furthermore, the location at the back was also isolated and not well lit for safety. There were other cabin rooms around the back but not occupied. There were also signs of cobweb near the cabin I was offered. I expressed my concerns however, i was told that I requested a Cabin and this was the only one that was vacant, and they could not change to another location. I told them I requested the Inn. I was told I would not be refunded if I cancel. They offered a 1 queen size bed cabin room at the front facing the office, which I stayed in. It was also inconvenient, the electrical sockets were not all work, the TV was difficult to access basic news channels and needed my email address to access. I did not have a desk and chair for computer use. I did not have an iron; manager offered an iron. The Manager Mike was very rude; he dismissed all my concerns and said if I did not stay in the back which was offered to me, it was my business, and I should not have travelled alone if I was afraid. His customer service was poor, and he was inconsiderate knowing that the location was not suitable and not what I booked for via Expedia.

We checked in on a Saturday. I checked the room and the bed had a big stain on the comforter. I pulled back the sheets and I saw stains on the sheets. I took pictures of them. I went to the office and showed the lady. She apologized and asked me would I want to transfer rooms? I had already sanitize the room so I said no can I get clean sheets and a clean comforter. She gave them to me and said that she would let her manager know and housekeeper will come pick up the dirty sheets and comforter in the morning. Housekeeper never came. We checked out on Monday. I told another lady what had happened. She apologized and said that the manager or her will give me a call. As of 7:16pm September 1, 2025 nobody has called me yet.

There were scuff marks on the wall. But it was a nice &clean room. Also was told certain rooms were not available. I walked past same rooms empty my whole weekend. The staff was friendly. Make sure to bring food to snack on. Few restaurants close by. The steakhouse down the road is pricey.

Great getaway for nature and comfort

The establishment was great, the service was awesome and the pricing is outstanding. My only grievances was the wifi wasn’t reachable in certain spots, and the location is harder to find than prepared for. All things considered I will be coming back at some point.

Log Cabin vacation
