Beautiful Spot

The house is nice and big. Had a few issues with bugs getting in, but we dealt with it. Could do with more paper towels and toilet paper on hand, but host was available to provide new supplies when needed. Fireplace is great, location is nice, pretty close to everything (not that hard on an island). A really nice serene place to unwind and unplug. Thanks!

We got in to the island Thursday evening. The property was ready when we showed up. Even with the weather being tough was a awesome place to stay as it had games, books, lake shore, wonderful relaxing fire place and an amazing quiet weekend away! Can’t wait to go back.

Lovely Stay on Madeline Island

We really enjoyed Payne Cottage. The spot is private and quiet. Comfortable living space with good places for hanging out, playing games and doing puzzles. A photo of the steps to the water would have been helpful to prepare us. The steps were fine, but steep. Decent supplies in the kitchen, but could have used a better knife and a good frying pan in the kitchen. Have recommended it for friends coming to MI soon!

Everything met my expectations

Inside of cabin was nice and well maintained. Outside could use a new coat of paint, but not bad and who really cares it's a cabin on an island. Everything was spelled out and easy to come and go. Fun island to visit.

Perfect home for family get-away!

This place was perfect for our family! The open living space, large kitchen table and deck were great for game playing and dinners. The home was well equipped for all our cooking needs. (except for grill- no charcoal/lighter fluid) Rooms are big and the view is lovely!
