Excessive Wait for Basic Service
I waited over an hour for a basic breakfast. This is unacceptable for any hotel, especially one that markets itself as a premium destination.
Discriminatory Treatment
I observed a clear disparity in treatment between local guests and white guests. While certain guests received prompt and courteous service, others—including myself—were met with dismissive attitudes and a lack of urgency. This is discriminatory and cannot be tolerated.
No Solutions or Apologies
When these issues were raised, staff offered no meaningful solutions or genuine apologies. A simple “sorry” without action is not service recovery. There was no attempt to rectify the situation or demonstrate accountability.
Overly Restrictive Hotel Rules
In addition to these shortcomings, the hotel imposed strict and inflexible rules that negatively impacted the guest experience. Policies should enhance hospitality rather than create unnecessary barriers for paying guests. The fact that the booking was made through a third party is not relevant. The poor service was received at your hotel.
Cutting My Stay Short
Due to these repeated failures, I cut my stay short by two days. This was not my original plan, but the lack of service and respect left me with no choice. I have written several emails directly and have not received a response.
