We really enjoyed the house and the walk ability. Enjoyed walking to the cove to see the sea lions, farmers market and about 20 minute drive to the zoo. Only cons were that they didn’t want you to lower the ac below 72 degrees and upstairs room got a little warm & we like to sleep cool. You can hear kids from the school behind the house but that didn’t bother us. Management company was responsive and helpful when we had questions!

Amazing House and Location

The location is fabulous for all you'll need for your stay. The house was well equipped, clean and luxurious. The master shower is the best shower of my life. We loved the little touches and whimsy. Property owner was responsive and available as much as we needed. They were also very accommodating with early arrival and late checkout which just made various arrival and departure times so much easier. I'll be bookmarking this one and hope to return again!

Excellent home for large family of adults!

This property was beautifully decorated and all the beds were incredibly comfortable! The master suite was really a delight and we were sad to leave it behind! We cooked most of our meals there and the kitchen was well equipped with what we needed. It's a multi-level home, with stairs between each of the 4 levels, so maybe not great if you had little ones or any physical limitations, but for us as a group of adults, it was really perfect! We enjoyed the beaches nearby during the day, made our dinners at the house and walked to ice cream shops in the evenings, followed by movies on the comfy sofa at night! We had read about an unfriendly neighbor, but didn't have any interactions with them, but we kept pretty quiet outdoors, so as not to make any waves. Would absolutely stay here again!

Beware of neighbor - Does not want guests

The property and management company were nice. However, the neighbor does not want VRBO guests. She has signs out in the yard. She did not make us feel welcome. Not allowed to be outside on the property talking in a quiet voice after 9 pm or before 9 am. Neighbor sweared and yelled.

Great location - great house

We had extended family join us for a holiday gathering and this was the perfect house to accommodate everyone - each having different levels of the house to retreat to. It is decorated really cute, and the primary suite is unbeatable!!! Views of the ocean, and an amazing soaking tub made it hard to leave! The large dining room table was perfect for game nights. We loved the location and being able to walk to stores and restaurants - the location is great. Only downsides (not many): the floors upstairs are extremely creaky and not great for sleeping babies; despite being 4ish levels, sound in the house travels - so definitely not great for privacy. The hot tub was working on day 1; then after a maintenance person came by unexpectedly, it stopped working and we weren’t able to use it. The neighbors in the cul-de-sac are not excited for the home being a vacation rental (including having signs in their yard indicating as such), so it did make for a few uncomfortable encounters and wasn’t the most welcoming arrival. But overall, very clean, comfortable and a great home if you are looking for a big space to entertain and experience life in downtown!

La Jolla Getaway

We had a great weekend getaway. The house is beautiful, walking distance to everything and worked well for our family. The only suggestion I have for the corporation that is running this property is to provide additional dish towels, paper towels and paper napkins. We had 7 adults and a baby over the long weekend. These essential items should be provided. There was only ONE dish towel and ONE paper towel roll. Seems nit-picky but it’s the little things that will set you apart! And doesn’t really cost you additional money…

Great time in La Jolla

The house was a great place for our family to stay while visiting the area. We could walk to many convenient restaurants and the beach. Great dining table for us all to eat and play games. Spacious place to hang out and watch TV altogether.

Beautiful House and Location

My sorority sisters and I decided we needed a reunion so we rented the house for the weekend. It is absolutely beautiful. The kitchen was well-stocked, there were plenty of bedrooms, and we could walk to all things La Jolla. There is a grocery store and a Bev Mo within a few blocks. There are great restaurants around too. My only suggestion would be a few more towels in each bathroom - we ran very short. Otherwise it was perfect.

Great location to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. Very walkable to lots of great restaurants and shops. House was clean when we checked in and functioned well for our group of 8. Only suggestion for improvement would be additional TP, trash bags, laundry detergent, and dishwasher detergent.
