"First, let me say that I had a fantastic stay! I had an amazing spa day and great day by the pool. I was, however, a bit surprised that the property seemed older than the photos and seemed a bit run down in some places. I know this is nit picking, but the lighting was really weird. The main lights in the room were almost like spot lights (instead of canned lights) and you couldn’t move them so it was hard to see sometimes because of where they were pointed. There were also weird blue and colored lights, intended for ambience, but I felt like they gave off more of a night club vibe rather than relaxing beach getaway. It felt a bit kitch and detracted from the overall experience. The other thing I found out of sorts was that the hotel did not offer free use of bicycles. Renting a bike for the day was easy and cheap. However, for the cost of this hotel, I would expect bike access to be included, especially for an island with no cars. "
