High Country Ranch is a working ranch built with heart, craftsmanship, and family history. Construction began in 2000, built by the owners and their father, and was completed in 2005. Every cherry wood finish — the trim, cabinetry, and fine details throughout the home — was handcrafted by our father, giving the entire space a warm, heirloom quality.
Your stay includes 4,300 square feet of private guest space within the larger true log home. The ranch is home to horses, chickens, and friendly ranch dogs who love meeting new people. One of the owners lives in the separate inaccessible, private entrance, lower level of the home, where he actively cares for the animals and maintains the property daily.
High Country Ranch is located just 1.5 miles from The Barn on South Ridge, making it an exceptional stay for wedding parties, families, and guests attending events at the venue, 5 miles from La Crescent MN and 7 miles from La Crosse WI and the majestic Mississippi River.
