Good hotel but you need be able to speak Spanish!
The hotel is in a very nice location, not far from the Tower of Hercules (about 20 minutes walk round the headland, very picturesque). It is a bit out of the city centre but transport is easy as bus routes 3A and 5 terminate round the corner and take you to the old city and centre in just 5-10 minutes. Breakfast (€9,- pp) is good but very frenetic in the last half hour: the hotel was clearly very busy and all the Spaniards (there seemed to be only Spanish guests apart from us) like to eat breakfast as late as possible, just as we do! So there was quite a crush for the chorizo, cheese etc. Staff were very smiley and tried hard to be helpful but very few of them could speak any language but Spanish. For a 4-star hotel in an important tourist destination this is very poor in my view.
